Got classy with a goblet, and a corked and caged beverage. Bottled October '13.

This beer poured with absolutely no foam. However, this beauty sports a sumptuous, red raspberry-hued body.

Surprising blast of vinegar-y red raspberry syrup, this mixes with a general sugar sweetness, incredibly sweet.

This beer drinks exactly like red raspberry juice has been pressed into the goblet! More tanginess followed closely by red raspberries, FDN finishes with a subtle crackery feel. Very straight forward, but pure flavors, this is delicious stuff!

Sparkling and bubbly feel with a milky creaminess, this crisp feel and light body compliments the beer wonderfully.

Framboise Du Nord started a little shakey in the aroma department with that syrupy, vinegar quality. It rebounds significantly with the clean and strong flavor of tangy red raspberry on the palate, adding the creamy, snappy feel sent this beer to the next level! This is why I drink beer.

A huge thanks to Jeff for this one. October 2013 bottling date. 750ml bottle into Tired Hands stemware. Shared with schen9303.

Pours bright red with a foamy light pink head with poor retention. Spotty and sparse lace. Amazing color but not much else.

Nose is outrageously aromatic. Big raspberry pulp mixes with a tart juiciness and light hay funk overtones. Nice.

Opens puckering raspberry seed and pulp. Juicy in the middle with a nice balance of sweet and tartness. Some plasticy notes towards the end along with more raspberry tartness. Dry and fruity finish. Pretty simple but very good.

Light bodied with ample carbonation. Prickly and lively in the mouth and goes down clean and crisp. Clean finish with a slightly dry aftertaste. Spot on for the style.

Awesome, awesome, awesome is all I can say about this beer. Spot on nose, taste and feel. Really under the radar and certainly worth seeking out.

A- framboise to the t minus any carb. Has a musty earthy look to it.

S- Raspberry upfront, not sweet raspberry but sour raspberry. Has some sour puckering smell to it.

T- Kinda light on sour raspberry, like a raspberry berliner would. Very well done; I think anything more or less sour goes to the fruit beer category or sours category. Spot on there.

M- Nice and light with that berliner pop carbonation. Well done there too.

O- Too the style, I would imagine this is 4.5+, but it just comes off as a nice transitional beer from more sour beers to stouts, etc.

Poured from 750 mL bottle into snifter.
A: Pours a very inviting dark pink with 1/2 inch of light white bubbly foam head that fairly quickly recedes.
S: Raspberry yogurt immediately comes to mind. Hint of strawberry, but otherwise fairly straight-forward here.
T: Tart raspberry that is quickly tempered by lactic acid (creamy, smooth notes). Pleasantly strong carbonation only serves to augment the experience here.
M: Tart, very light body, refreshing, bright, and toward the finish a note of creamy smoothness emerges. Superb.
D: Amazingly drinkable. A wonderfully refreshing summer beer. The definition of a session beer. Not complex, but what it does it does very well. Hats off to Schell's!

poured 750ml into teku. Bottled in Oct 2013.

A - Boom! As soon as I pulled the cork it geysered all over the counter top. I should have put it in the fridge for a few hours, but I am used to pulling beer from the cellar. Color is dark pink/red and had a nice 2 finger pink head. Thin collar and spots of lacing.

S - Fresh raspberry puree blended in a Berliner Weiss. Not too much yogurt or cheese, but I get why others pick it up.

T - Strawberry fields forever, except raspberry. It is tart, but not overly, there is some sweetness. I can tell this was once a Berliner. Very good.

M - Light bodied and big carbonation makes for a fantastic mouthfeel.

O -Excellent take on a Framboise. Well done Schells!
