Starkbier Berliner Weisse aged on Peaches. This strong Berliner Weisse was brewed with an extensive decoction mash schedule and fermented with an authentic mixed culture then aged it for nearly a year in our original 1936 cypress wood lagering tanks before 5,500 pounds of peaches were added for a four month, tertiary fermentation.

2021 notes:
Lightly clouded, golden hued, no head.

In the nose: strong aromatics, billowing tart. Vinegar and funk. Fruit below.

In the mouth: Big tart on the palate, juicy fruit on the side. Delightful wild ale. Light bodied, well-balanced and delicious. Just a little bit of sweet to match the sour. Good wild ale and you can drink it.

Now bottled in 4 packs. Picked up today (5-6-2021) at Casanova Liquor in Hudson, WI.
Pours a beautiful peach color. Thick looking. Very hazy and murky. There's less than a 1 finger white head. The head doesn't last too long, and there's no lacing on the glass.
The nose is just full of a beautiful peach aroma, as expected. Slightly tart/sour.
Taste - total peach explosion. The peach flavor up front is sweet, but then it changes on the back into a tart/sour flavor. There's a bit of funk to this beer, as well.
The body is quite thick for the ABV. Body is just full.
Amazing sour.

Schell’s is not f-Ing around with this one and it really is a delicious and satisfying Berliner Weiss. They need to focus on more of these and it reminds me of some Cantillon beers I’ve had.

375ml bottle. Label has this information, 'BOTTLED: AUG, 2020'. Bottle notes: "Absolutely one of our favorite beers we've ever made. This time around we added apricots for some added complexity on top of the bright juicy flavor of peaches. Smooth, fruity and refreshing. Enjoy chilled.".
Deep straw colored body. Brief fizzy head. The surface remains active. No lacing.
Aroma is a deep breath of ripe peaches. The apricots blend in a little.
Taste is tart and has the flavor of the cypress aging tanks. Lots of sweet peach try to win over the yeast tartness. The apricots add in a base layer of stone fruit. Just a hint of funk.
Medium mouth feel. Close to a tooth scraper. Very good carbonation.
Right on point for a peach sour, and the added apricot underneath.

Bottled April 2015 so just over 5 years old.

Pours a hazy peachy gold with a minimal head of foam, no lacing.

Sweet and sour aromas of peach, lemon, other pitted light fruit.

Wonderful peach tartness with a bit of sweet, lemon sourness, perhaps tangerines or another light pitted fruit. Very tasty and somewhat dry.

Lightish body with carbonation that is almost champagne like.

Wow is all that I can say.

The pour is gorgeous, murky golden peach color - shocking (not) since this beer has 5,500 lbs of peaches added to the base Berliner Weisse beer. The rapidly dissipating head was a light tan color.

Aromas are of course peaches, but there's also some citrus, like tangerines. The taste is very tart and dry, but the peaches lend a bit of sweetness so you don't think you're drinking champagne.

The feel is sprightly and bubbly, but there's more than a little depth to this. Simply a phenomenal "sour," IMHO.

This is a great stone fruit beer. It pours a beautiful peach hazy color and smells and tastes just like a fresh cut peach. The finish is a little strange and offputting, but overall this is fantastic.
