Sampled last night on 11/29/14. From the Lakemaid Beer Company in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Bottle chilled down to 36 degrees F in my beer cooler and poured into a handled-glass stein.
Pours a hazy golden-amber in color with a thin white head with lots of tiny bubbles that cling to the bottom and sides of the glass. Some sediment is found at the bottom of the bottle. Some spotty lacing is seen when sipped. The aroma is of grains with sweet 'honey'. The taste is actually different with the grains at the front with some sweet honey (?) with a hint of citrus zest for the finish. Overall it was decent actually as I am not a big fan of this style of brew. Lighter+ to medium bodied with good carbonation. Like the cool label (and history on their website) and the back of the 6-pack holder (made a 'Make your own 6' from Hy-vee) with the different mermaids and history lore.

$4.99/6 pack. Eating a late night hamburger, thought it could use a Lager. Let's crack it open!
Serving style : 12 oz bottle complete with mermaid #3, poured for appearance.
Appearance (3.5) : Sunny golden body, fairly transparent, with a nice rich-looking 2 finger head.
Smell (3.75) : Sweet honey-tinged malts, fresh oats and barley, some corn on the cob. This is quite certainly a step above the average american adjunct lager smell.
Taste (3.75) : Tastes a bit like it smells. I love the corn on the cob flavor with the oaty body. Smooth and refreshing. Not a whole lot of off-notes. Wheaty. This beer isn't half bad. Some hop bitterness at the end, just a hint of diacetyl, with a cascading dry finish.
Mouthfeel (3.5) : Pleasantly carbonated, light bodied, and smooth. Semi-dry finish. I do like this one, I do.
Overall (3.68) : For a refreshing lager this beer hits the spot and keeps the flavor alive. It's crisp, clean, and has notes of wheat, oat, barley, and corn on the cob. I can't think of a better lager off the top of my head, although I'm sure they're out there.

Typical lager straw yellow color, medium carbonation; ordinary domestic mass produced lager taste, but not as acidic, and without a lingering aftertaste. Nothing extraordinary and that's the problem in a nut shell.
Kudos for the drone delivery system, which made headlines.
