Poured from 12oz bottle into Globe glass.
A. Poured 2 fingers of head. Good retention. Solid lacing. Color is a very dark amber brown.
S. Has a pretty strong malt aroma. Has a somewhat sour smell to it. Smells like german hops and malt. Not sure if that is the correct grain and hop bill, but its what it smells like.
T. Taste is also pretty malty. Not surprising for a Wee Heavy. Not all that much flavor though going on. Mostly caramel malt flavor. A bit of hop bitterness. Has that hard to pin down Scotch Ale favor that can only be describe as peat. Peat is my term for half skunky half musty type flavor. I am hoping both smell and flavor improve as the beer warms.
M. Medium bodied. Little bit of sweetness on the finish.
O. Well. Its a Scotch ale, and even though its not one of my more liked stlyes from what I can tell its not the far off the standard.

Not sure who I got this bottle from but I pulled it out of the fridge tonight...
Sweet caramel malts dominate the nose along with small hints of dark fruit and a little smokiness... fairly straightforward...
Sweet maltiness with caramel leading the way... not sure this is deep or rich enough for a Wee Heavy... pleasant tasting for sure but not sure it fits the bill...
A good easy drinking brew but nothing to write home about... its got a year on it and any outstanding characteristics have obviously faded...
