A 330ml bottle with a BB date of March 2011. Picked up cheap at my local off-licence.

Poured into a Sam Smith's pint glass. Pale straw yellow with medium carbonation. A decent head of white foam that lasts for a minute or two. The liquid contains plenty of floating fragments - I tend to view haziness as the mark of a good beer but in this case it just looks unappetising. Aroma is faint; a hint of light grainy malt, a whiff of solvent and a sweet artificial note that is reminiscent of apples.

Taste is weak and watery. The faintest hint of pale malt, accompanied by a distintive solvent note and a slight artificial sweetness. The flavour has a acrid acidic quality that is unpleasant. Mouthfeel is prickly and dry. Leaves a bad aftertaste.

Not a very nice beer. I don't know if this is always like this or if it's just old. With a weak and nasty flavour, I simply cannot recommend this to anyone.

available darn near everywhere in spain, including for free in our barcelona hotel mini-bar

appearance: pale golden, minimal head, no retention

smell: nothingness mixed with light malts and saaz-like hops

taste: crisp and clean, but lacking any sort of flavour outside of generic bland hops and grain

mouthfeel: light and watery

drinkability: easy, but boring

This is a great beer. When visiting a friend in Spain I made sure to buy a litre of it for lunch everyday. Keep in mind, that's the kind of beer it is. It's a nicely done pilsner, slightly sour but very balanced -- Great for the hot spainish weather. Don't expect to be blown away by the intense flavour, just drink it for what it is: an everyday beer. Think 'mexican beer', but then add quality german brewing techniques to it and a happy fat mascot.

Malty, pleasant, solid.

okkkie! My mom brought me a sample of this "beer".

Well first a very pale blonde that is very carbonated with at first a good head that slowly dissapeared only to leave a former image of herself.

Smell is hoppy, with a shy shy shy note of skunk in the background.
A cereal flavour is also present that reminds me more of spices than anything else.

taste is just not there, wet board is present sign of an infection. Watery, I dont detect any hops or malt. A very bready taste is also present and the beer has a hit when drnking it meaning, it doesnt go down smoothly!

This bottle came to me from France via my girlfriend. What a nice lady. The label also indicates that this is brewed by Heineken Spain and has an ABV of 5%.

Here's a pilsener beer that pours perfectly clear golden-yellow, not nearly as pale a yellow as American versions such as Bud etc. There is a nice head that forms at first to leave plenty of tracings behind.

There is a familiar light malt character on the nose, but also something metallic. This is a little odd.

The flavor has the light malt and decent hop bite of a continental pilsener. The flavor is mostly crisp and clean, and fairly refreshing at that. However there is a little carryover of the metallic element from the nose that keeps the flavor from being anything more than mostly average.

This is a fairly decent, drinkable beer as far as European pilseners go, much less Spanish beer. I only wish that metallic issue could have been addressed somehow.

Served in business class on the Delta Flight from Moscow to New York. I'd never heard of it, so took a shot. Bad move.

Copmes in a red and white can with a Robin Hood type figure holding up a beer mug. The ingredients list includes "cereals." Best before 12/5/04, I inflicted this upon myself on 6/11/04.

OK, it doesn't look horrible. Clear gold sits under a one finger white head with decent retention and good lacing (in my plastic airline cup). Things go downhill fast from there. The nose is full of sweet malt with a strong sense of rice and adjunct. The mouth is typically very prickly and light. Taste? Crash and burn. There is a strong rice impression combined with harsh metallic hops - or maybe that's just harsh metal. Very little redeeming quality here, as there's no malt and the hops taste like chewing the can. I switched to wine.

The beer is clear pale straw colored, with a white head leaving little lacing.

The smell is faintl, mainly boiled corn and vegatables.

The taste is typical wet sweet corn flakes, some lemon nuances and a faint metallic bitterness.

Medium carbonation, somewhat fizzy, a bit dry at the end.

Tastes like any low-budget pale euro lager.
