Somewhere between a rebooted H P Lovecraft Cthulhu and a damp squid, the illustration on the label gives a pretty bad first impression.
But once popped there is a nice medium richish smell of mocha and coffee. Dark cola body. Fleshy one inch magnolia head. Taste is similar being earthy, somewhat dry, and with a degree of (metallic?) chocolate. Somewhat limited in development and complexity it lacks that delicious morish quality you find in the better porters.
In the end the damp squid wins out.
