Appears a caramel copper brown hue with a light beige head that quickly dwindles leaving behind minimal scattered lacing. Aromatics offer up a touch of cookie dough with a light herbal and tobacco leaf quality. Flavor has a roasted malt sweetness a touch of honey nut almond like notes. Herbal and tobacco leaft hop bitterness in the finish works to balance it out, this is a nice mild brown ale. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied with easy going smooth carbonation nothing wrong with this one in anyway. Drinkability is overall a nice session beer, I hope to get some mixed 12 packs of Left Hand fresh this can be a problemn in the Pittsburgh market so far these bottles from Boardman, OH have been spot on.

Brown, auburn, copper colors, 1/5" off white head. Mixture of river wood, toffee and tobacco. Brown malt they say.
Nuttiness and earthiness in the taste profile. Chewy mouthfeel. Body approaching porter levels. Mildly hopped, this goes for the English brown style. Dark fruit in the mouthfeel in a small way.
Not a bad beer, but also a style people don't get jazzed up about so easy to see why its no longer around.
