I think I was expecting more from this beer than was fair. I was in the mood for something a bit more complex and hoppy.
The color was a very nice amber/brown. The head was white/off-white and had good retention.
The nose was very pretty. It was citrusy and floral with pleasing hints of fruit. Very nice use of hops as aromatics and very subtle in it's beauty. I really liked the complexities in the nose.
The palate was weak in comparison. There was so much flavor missing. Basically I felt this way, "It's cold and it's wet."
After mowing the lawn, I would probably give this beer an A. But, after a day at work when I wanted something to knock my socks off, it didn't even untie my shoes.

Poured into a pint glass.
A: Clear with a small amount of carbonation, the body is a darker, though somewhat flat, amber color. The head is frothy and off-white with decent retention and leaves some delicate and dissipating lacing.
S: The smell is noticeable right form the pour. Strong and well balanced over all. Strong hops, strong malts. There's a vanilla sweetness that really comes through that's almost too powerful. A little funk rounds it all out nicely.
T: A strong beer that trends towards the hops, though leaving a balmy maltiness to round it all out. There's a small amount of lemon citrus that undercuts it all. Pretty well balanced.
M: It's a strong beer that has a pretty bold mouthfeel as well. Creamy, smooth, carbonated; it may all be a bit too much, but I'll give credit for going big.
