Ap: Copper in color, this beer poured out a white rocky head that diminished quickly but laced nicely.
Smell: A nice malt presence in the nose.
Taste: There is a heavy yeast note in this beer that can be described as doughy. There was only a slight hint of the caramel/butterscotch flavors that were present in the draft version. Accompanying the doughy taste was a slight nut presence that added a bit of complexity to the beer. Very nice. There is an acidic alcohol note that is left on the palate after consumption with a lingering toastiness.
Comments: A very good bitter in it's own right but I am partial to the draft version of this beer.
