Poured into a tulip pint glass.

Pours a cloudy orange colored amber. Brew has an off white fluffy head that settles to a nice thick capping. Head thins out to a patch island. Some minimal sticky lacing. Decent looking brew.

Brew smells of caramel malts, earthy hops, maybe some citrus and floral hops as well. Good smelling brew.

Brew tastes smooth; very balanced. Citrus hops, earthy hops, caramel malts. Real good solid mesh of flavors and a solid balanced chewy mouthfeel. Brew finishes slightly dry, with a quenching that makes it real easy to want another sip. Brew tastes more like an amber ale to me, not so bitter or hoppy. Good stuff here none the less.

A solid as can be brew; good flavors, great drinkability. Case worthy sessionable stuff here. Good stuff.

Pours a copper color with a slightly off white head that clings nicely to the glass.

The aroma of sweet malts abound along with a decent amount of hop aroma.

The taste has a more prominent hop blast up front than I expect from an ESB. Sweet caramel like malts show up after the hops subside.

Nice brew although not 100% inline with the style is represents.

Poured from the bottle into my pint glass.

A--Pours a warm amber color. There are a few carbonation bubbles coming from the bottom. Almost no head to speak of.

S--Sweet caramel and a load of malt. The smell is pleasant, but it's very hard to get anything off this beer.

T--Better than the smell. It has a pleasant malt flavor up front with an over-so-slight hoppy bitter aftertaste. There really isn't much else there that I can detect though.

M--Light bodied with a slight tinge of carbonation. The bitter aftertaste is pleasant on the tongue and leaves it stinging a little bit after each sip.

O--This is an ok beer for me. It is pleasant enough to drink, but that's all I can say about it--it's a middle of the road beer. Not great, not bad. Just refreshing and pleasant.

This is a nice everyday type ale. Not a blockbuster, but flavorful and solid.

Pours amber and clear, nice malty aroma.
mouthfeel is full but the flavor is a little lacking. Would like more of an up front hoppiness. The residual bitterness is nice though.

I have loved everything I have had from Left Hand so far so I picked up their variety pack to see what else they had to offer.

A- Dark clover honey color with a 1 inch white head that fades fast.

S- Very malty, with some fruit and some sweet spice I can't put my finger on.

T- Caramel malts, mixed with the perfect amount of hops and a little fruitiness. Great balanced beer.

M- Medium bodied but it has a creamy mouthfeel. I love the texture of this beer.

D- Extremely drinkable. This is a GREAT session beer. Pick up a 12 pack and you will go trough it fast (in a good way)

Left Hand continues to impress me. I need to make a trip to the brewery soon. Try this beer, it is a great session beer that you won't regret trying.

Deep golden amber / clear / very mild carbonation / nice head

American hops – citric and floral / malt barley – sweet biscuit/nut

Malt – sweet nut/toasty biscuit a little toffee. Hop is American citric and floral with a good little bitterness. Very slight metallic flash. Light roasted darkness, chocolate/nut notes. Real sweet feel. Decent balance, finishes dry.

Smooth thin+ body mild carbonation.

Easy on the tongue, not too sweet, good hop bittering balance.

Part of my beer of the month offerings, 12 oz bottle, bottled on 9/20/06, poured into a pint glass

A—pours clear orange amber with a 1 ½ inch cream colored foamy head that goes nowhere fast, still about ½ an inch when I finish the beer, laces in spots

S—bitter and sweet, pine is strongest, some perfume and floral tones as well, faint caramel sweetness blends in and makes it very inviting

T—not as hoppy as the nose leads you to believe, in fact, mostly caramel malt flavor is here, sweet, but a mild bitter bit comes out in the swallow

M—smooth and clean, medium bodied, good carbonation

D—a pretty good ESB, glad I had the opportunity to try it and would have it again.

A - Poured out a reddish/orange color with a tan, foamy, two-finger head. It left some nice lace.

S - It smelled of grass and hops. There was a slight pine smell.

T - It had a nice balance of roasted malt and grassy hops. There was a subtle citrus taste (possibly Cascade hops). The bitterness was understated.

M - It was crisp and sharp. A medium-bodied beer.

D - A very nice ESB. One of the better beers from Left Hand.

Pours a clear reddish copper with a thin off-white head. Smells of soapy, lemony hops. Taste is light malt sweetness up front, followed by an herbal woody hop flavor. A hint of dark caramel in there too. Good hop bitterness levels. Mouthfeel is rich for the gravity, and nice low carbonation levels too. Drinkability is quite good, low alcohol, and no extreme malt or hops make this a fine daily drinker. I would certainly get this again.

12 oz bottle. Date stamped on label. Review from notes.

Pours a slightly hazy dark gold, small off-white head that dissipates quickly. Smell is malty, with a perfumy sweetness. First taste is a bit dry, on a butternut end. Kinda smooth, kinda toasty, like a white wine. Good. Possibly a bit flat as far as the finish goes. A litter bitter on the end, but drinks good. I want to re-try this one.

Poured a clear amber-tinted brown with a quickly dying head and some lace patches. A mix of caramel malt and citric hops. A light to medium beer that contains both sweet malts like caramel and bready/biscuit malts that along with a light citric hop bitterness, balances well for a drink that is both sweet and crisp while retaining a dry finish. Beers like this are made to just sit and relax with at a bar and this one is no exception.

A clean cooper/amber colored beer. Has a big creamy dark beige head and a nice bit of lace. The aroma is a sweet malt with a hint of caramel. There is also a light floral hop note in the background. The flavor starts with a light sweet malt character which dominates the taste until the finish. In which a smooth hop bitterness sits gentley on the back of your tongue.

A: Bottle was 12oz, a nice amber color, 2 finger head, very small amount of lacing.

S: Sweet Citrus smell, hint of nuts.

T: Great mix of hop and malt combination.

M: Overall very smooth, thought it would be thicker based on color. Carbonation was delayed.

D: Would go great with anything.
