This is an unusual flavor, and it goes great with Asian food because of the ginger. If you're in the mood for something different, look to this one. Very light on the alcohol, but still very flavorful, and not what you're used to drinking. (241 characters)

Give this some time. It needs to warm even tho intended as a "refreshing frivolity".

I'm not fan of veg/fruit beers, or spice beers, but this one doesnt fail due to the ginger, in fact, it needs more ginger.
A: Dusky golden yellow with not much head, that falls fast and laces little. Sparkling and thin like a ginger beer/ale. 3.3

S: Too subtle but good. Lemon peel and ginger over a light pale base. Appetizing. Good appetizer beer. First of evening. 3.5
T: The body is too thin, lacks malt body, too far in the watery direction of summer quaffy, tastes watery. Otherwise I have no other issue with profile. 3.3

The ginger isn't strong enough.
MF: Too thin & watery 3 (675 characters)

5/27/15 On tap at Rattle n Hum, NYC. Surprising little aroma for so much flavor. The ginger gives slight burn that accentuates the spicy food I've had. The texture is very good & I still find it to be a refreshing palate cleansing drink. Great to bust up a pedantic session.

10/12/11 On tap at Rattle n Hum, NYC. Great Crisp taste. Very subtle ginger. Right up my alley. (371 characters)

Nice, light and effervescent. You definitely taste the ginger, but it's not overwhelming. There's a bit of bitterness, but a pleasant bit of citrus too. (156 characters)

My first beer with ginger I bought it at superior liquor store in luisville, CO.
Nice to know that they use an organic ginger for this brew.
I pored this beer in a plastic glass at my hotel room it looked light copper, with 2 F head with some scattered laces.
The aroma is sweet and grainy and a faded ginger smell.
Very astringent and but you can feel its malty backbone all the way to the end wish is really great for a beer they call light.
Very good brew (458 characters)

Poured a golden copper color in a Stone imperial pint glass with a 1 F head.

Aroma: mild ginger.

Mouth feel: well carbonated.

Taste: this beer is all about ginger. I drink ginger tea daily, so I like the taste in the beer: it's ginger forward. I must admit that it grows on me after a while.

Good bitterness in the finish.

Overall: very interesting and not everyone's beer. If you like spice beer, or any food/beverage with ginger be sure to check this out. (462 characters)

About a finger of head with a medium golden liquid, head and lacing disipate quickly.
GInger very upfront in the aroma .
This flavor profile is just not for me the ginger is very strong and upfront, I usaly like left hand stuff, oh well glad it was just a single. (264 characters)

12oz bottle into 16oz balloon

A – Bright translucent copper. Head is off white and fades quickly, lacing left behind is minimal.

S – Light crystal and carmel notes dominate. There is a little bite from the ginger here trying to come through.

T – Light and malty, ginger does come on quite strong here, though its not a fresh, bright, crisp ginger, almost medicinal.

M – Light in body, carbonation level is a bit high, but overall refreshing and easy to drink.

O – There is a good balance here, interesting brew, but nothing monumental. Not bad. (560 characters)

BBD 9/22/14. Clear amber pour that has just a touch of garnet with an acceptable head. Lacing and retention are typical for the style and fade away after a few minutes. The magnificent nose is of ginger over a biscuit background sweetness. Light medium body that is nice and smooth in texture. Above average carbonation with a strong burst of effervescence on the finish. The flavor profile is quite nice and focuses on ginger. It delivers the ginger at just the right level and balances it against a toasty slight biscuit sweetness. It finishes with a crisp effervescent burst of ginger and hop flavor over biscuit. An outstanding clean crisp use of ginger. (658 characters)

From the bottle to the glass, a rich head for a light ale. Pale amber is a generic, but decently accurate, descriptor for the color. A, for clarity. C-, for head retention.

An obvious dose of spicy ginger, but the blow is softened by a treacle-sweet maltiness that shores up in the nose. Good Juju's additive never really reaches anything close to a saturated level, which deserves recognition for not compromising the aromas of true pale malts and a kiss of floral hops.

While I really liked the direction this beer was going after the initial whiffs, the flavor is a little more averaged. It's not as sweet as intended, I think, with a twirl of ginger flavor that lacks a good spiciness. There's nothing sinus-clearing here, at all. The pale ale behind it tastes like a super light pale ale without much more complexity than a streak of treacle and peachy/pomme fruitiness. Still, it's rather dry, which makes ratings for drinkability soar. Approachable, light, but not sturdy enough. Really dependent on the ginger, which is toned down, as it is. I can't say much about the mouthfeel, other than, that it's really light in body and swallows like seltzer water that has sat out for half-an-hour. It's missing that spark, and I'm glad it's not swallowed up in a syrupy body; none of that here. The carbonation is decent, in comparison to the body, but really is just a light gas fizzle.

In all honesty, I don't get it. It seems like an amateur offering, one that could use some tweaking before hitting the bottling line. If you like light ales that border on 'watery', but have nuances of spiciness and one-note of ginger, then I guess you should get yourself some o'that Good Juju. (1,686 characters)

Pours a very clear light golden color with not much of a head.
Aroma is spicy ginger with a clean base.

Taste is clean and crisp with a subtle but distinguishable ginger/malt blend throughout. Similar to a lager rather than an ale.

Overall, an easy drinking beer that could've benefited from a little more depth/complexity. (326 characters)

Appearance - Light golden/amber, not a lot of carbonation. No head.

Smell - Slightly sweet malts and a touch of ginger. Very mellow, unobtrusive but not very impressive.

Taste - Pretty good. Tastes like a spiced pilsner to me; grassy with a hint of ginger in the taste.

Mouthfeel - Light on the palate, very limited carbonation. Slightly oily.

Overall - Not a great beer, but definitely not the worst beer I've rated. Probably wouldn't purposefully choose it again. (469 characters)

A - Very bright, clear copper. Quickly fading fizzy head. Leaves little lacing.

S - Mostly malt. The ginger is pretty subdued. Toffee, caramel.

T - Malt upfront then the ginger makes it's presence felt. Medicinal flavor, but the ginger isn't overdone.

M - Light body, high carb, finishes dry and the ginger lingers.

O - This is the second ginger beer I've ever had. The other was way too heavy on the ginger, this one balances it pretty well. I wouldn't seek try again, but it was nice to see what it was like. (514 characters)

A: Beer poured a very clear light copper color. Good head that dissipated quickly. Good carb. Lots of bubbles streaming toward the top.

S: Malty breadiness and ginger spice. I actually really love the ginger spiciness when I get a nose on this beer. Awesome.

T: Some caramel malt notes that quickly are overpowered by strong ginger. A little floral hop profile, but mostly ginger. Crazy drinkability to this beer.

MF: Crisp and light. Not overcarbed but good enough. Leaves a dryness on the back of the palate that is refreshing.

O: I love ginger, and I commend Left Hand's usage of it in this beer. It's real good. Right now it is 80 degrees outside and I about chugged half the glass in a couple minutes. This beer is fantastic while in the recommended 40-45 degree range. Once it started warming up it started losing its pop. But I will say it is crazy drinkable in this weather. (887 characters)

A-pours a soft copper color with a fizzy white head that fades rather quickly
S-ginger dominates with some sweet malt aroma in the background
T-More ginger, with some bitterness following and finishes dry
M-medium-light bodied with tight carbonation
O-drinks almost like a dry club soda with ginger. Very interesting brew and I honestly enjoyed that it wasn't complicated by a lot of other flavors or sweetness (410 characters)

Perhaps a ginger beer is not my forte, as I'm not a big fan of ginger root even on sushi, but this seemed to have a weakness and one dimensionality that just didn't sell. The color was light and watery but presented a thick fluffy head. The aroma and taste were the same as ginger pervades with a watery herb twangy finish. Perhaps ginger beer is not my forte....oh yeah, I already said that. (392 characters)

Pours a beautiful clear orange with lots of bubbles that constantly find their way to the top. Thin head not much lace. Nose is authentic ginger. Crisp with a bite and an vivid scent. Maybe a bit fo hops on the nose to ffer some grass and herbal. Malt is a touch of dark brown sugar on a soft and light bread. Smells like a ginger snap cookie with a touch of vanilla. Taste is lovely. I love it. It's not an IPA. It does not drink like an IPA. It has a beaucoup ginger flavor on a beautiful light cracker. Touch of brown sugar, vanilla and a nice grass take you to a finish that is not dry but that has all kinds of ginger to tempt, to whet the appetite & to satisfy.

Perky, cheerful and just lovely. (700 characters)

Poured from a bottle into a tumbler glass.

Appearance: Pours a light copper color with a minimal head that dissipates incredibly quick and leaves no lacing. (Maybe that's just a bad pour on my part?)

Smell: Very up front ginger aroma, but I also get hints of pumpkin and honey with some herbal hop aroma as well.

Taste: This beer goes through three stages. The initial gulp is very heavy on the ginger and quickly gets followed up by sweet, bready malt flavors. After swallowing is when the herbal, grassy hops show themselves on the sides of the tongue.

Mouthfeel: Crisp and light without being too thin or watery. Not too much carbonation, but it is a bit fizzier than I typically like.

Overall: Quite an enjoyable beer. It definitely deserves the right food pairing to go with it, though. I'm thinking I'll have a few with my next trip to my favorite Thai restaurant. With that being said, I can't see it being a staple in my refrigerator for the season. It will, however, be an interesting diversion from the same session ales I normally take to get togethers. (1,073 characters)

Appearance: Light amber color with 1/2 finger creamy head. Dissipates into nice ring with good lacing.

Smell: Big time ginger. Bready with super light piney and citrus hops underneath. Being a fan of ginger, this is really inviting to me.

Taste: The ginger is the star of this beer. Toast with super slight pine and citrus underneath. Flavor is actually pretty bland. Doesn't live up to the smell.

Mouthfeel: On the light side with light carbonation. Has a slight drying effect. Lingering ginger spiciness.

Overall: The smell made it worth it; otherwise, I was pretty uninterested. I doubt I'll have again. (614 characters)

A-Pours a clearer, yellow orange. Good, foamy head. Dies off a bit. Light lacing speckles.

S-Ginger definitely. The aroma really screams of it. I had some trouble pulling out much else.

T-Where is the sushi I am supposed to dip into this? Ginger is spicy and blatant. Could stand to see a bit more going in here.

M-Light, goes does easy enough. Prickly bubbles. I powered through it just to end its time with me.

O/D-Not a fan. I enjoy ginger with my sushi, as do I love me some ginger ale. Keep it away from my beer, though. (530 characters)

I poured a bottle into a pint glass.

Appearance- Clear golden-amber color with a fingers worth of head. Fair amount of lacing.

Smell- Ginger with a hint of malt.

Taste- Ginger flavor with a light amount of toasted malt.

Mouthfeel- Light bodied and crisp. Slightly above average amount of carbonation.

Overall- A grown-up ginger ale. Not bad but not something that I would try again. (387 characters)

Pure, simple, natural ingredients: rocky mountain water, malted barley hops, yeast and organic ginger. This beer tastes like ginger ale for grown-ups. It is more delicate than I expected, balancing the carbonation, malt and ginger to make it taste...quite honestly, more like a real soda that isn't too sweet. It's a very drinkable, refreshing summer beer if you like ginger ale. (379 characters)

Poured into a perfect pint.

3.0 A: Clear medium yellow color. A little over one finger of fizzy white head. Retention is below average and just a wisp or two of lacing is left.

3.25 S: Pickled ginger and a light maltiness. That's about it. I love ginger, so smells good enough for me.

3.25 T: Taste is more of the same. Plenty of ginger and some neutral maltiness.

3.5 M: Light to lighter medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Moderately creamy and super smooth.

3.5 D: I will probably drink this more than my scores suggest. While it isn't a great beer overall, it has a lot of ginger in it, which is a flavor I can't get enough of. (640 characters)

A: Pours a crystal clear medium yellowish amber in color with some moderate amounts of visible carbonation and some orange highlights. The beer has a finger tall fizzy beige head that reduces to a medium sized patch of thicker film and a very thin film covering the remainder of the surface with a slight bit of mottling and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of spicy ginger over the top of some lighter notes of toasted malts.

T: Upfront there are light flavors of biscuit malts with hints of toasted malts and just a touch of caramel sweetness. That is followed by an initially subtle but building to moderate flavor of ginger with hints of spiciness. Minimal amounts of bitterness are present in the finish which fade almost instantly.

M: Slightly heavier than light bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation. Slightly thin but still smooth.

O: This beer tastes a lot like real ginger ale (not the sweetened stuff like Canada Dry of Schweppes) with a very light amount of ginger spiciness but enough to be enjoyable. Easy to drink and refreshing with a low ABV - this would pair well with Asian foods and could be sessionable in the right pairing. (1,227 characters)

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass.

A: Clear golden/amber. The white, small bubbled head retains well. Lacing is sparse and patchy.

S: Bread and grain with slight hints of caramel and toffee. Hops are oily and piney. Spicy ginger plays a supporting role.

T: Grainy malt base. Slight caramel and toffee. Bready. Hops are floral and lightly piney with a soft bitterness. Subtle hint of clementine. Ginger plays the supporting role perfectly, picking up toward the end and riding into the finish.

M: Lightish body. Creamy and smooth. Modest prickling carbonation accentuates the ginger just a bit more.

O: Pretty much a pale ale with ginger. The ginger is incorporated nicely, adding flavor without becoming overbearing. A refreshing quaff that really hit the spot on this hot and humid night. (798 characters)
