My first American Pilsener!
Looks a little bit paler than your average German Pilsener, but it has light golden beautiful colour with a foamy white head. Moderate carbonation.
The smell is suprisingly sweet for a pilsener with some mild hop flavour in the background.
First you get some sweet almost grainy malt flavour. The body is light. Then in the middle of the beer the earthy hops try to dominate to end this beer with a slightly dry finish. I somehow miss a clean and crisp flavour in this beer, because I can taste the sweet malts until the end.
More bitter hops and less sweet malts, please!
Don't know how old this bottle is though.
