Bottle from The Drinkery Derry.
Brilliantly clear light golden color with a smallish bubbly white head. A bit of skunk escaped from the bottle as I popped this open but quickly subsided. Light grainy malt, light fruitiness, light floral hops, and hints of sulfur. Not as clean as this should be for the style.

I got to pour this beer at a brew fest in Syracuse, NY. It was my first time having it, and I was very pleased with it. Poured a nice clear yellow color (can't give much description on the head, as we were having problems with foaming from the kegs). Nose was a pleasant spicey hop note. Tasted very crisp with a tender malt core and a lingering but not overpowering hop bitterness on the tongue. I'm typically more of a Czech pilsner guy, but this was a great beer to savor. I'll have to search this one out for my personal stash at home.

Look - Pours a very light golden straw with pillowy white head that dissipates rather quickly. Lots of rising bubbles. Okay distribution from small to medium. Good clinging.

Smell - Lots and lots of lime, smells as though lime was squeezed int the beer. Backdrop of straw malt, and a bit of grass, but I'm mostly getting lime.

Taste - Sweet bready malt with a fairly bitter finish, with the lingering flavor of lime. Somewhat astringent and metallic. A bit of honey.

Feel - Light, refreshing and effervescent. Leaves a cool feeling and activates the saliva glands. Tingle in the middle of the tongue.

Overall - A solid pilsner but not my favorite. Great hot weather beer, however.

A refreshing offering for an often overdone and poorly offered style, taste is crisp with lingering hop notes, drinkability is off the charts, I would probably say it would be dangerous to have a 6 pack or two lying around as they are easily sessional. The hype is real with this beer, would definitely have again, and thats saying a lot for a style I'm not really too fond of.

Best by: 10/24/15.

Pours a clear yellow with a foamy off-white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Thin streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, earth, grass, and floral aromas. Taste is much the same with grass, herbal hop, and metallic flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is an average beer with a great set of aromas, but there is a metallic quality in the taste that isn't too pleasant.

Serving type: bottle.

L: Pours brilliant straw under a 2” bone white foam cap that slowly dissipates while clinging to the side of the glass.
S: Light grainy nose with some floral hops, some biscuit.
T: Light grains with a faint sweetness finish clean, dry and crisp supported by a moderate bitter accent.
F: Very creamy and very fine soft carbonation, a great texture.
O: Dry, drinkable, refreshing and pleasant.

It was so delicious, I have never actually had a decent pilsner until this one. It's now also my favorite left hand product.

What a beautiful Pilsner style lager, as close to perfection for this old drinkers palate. It's everything I want in a beer. Sharp, crisp yeasty malt flavor with a dry finish. It's what Budweiser would taste like if there was real truth in advertising. If you're a Pilsner lover, don't miss this one, it's a great beer.

Appearance: Clear, medium golden in color, with a moderate white head, which retains well, and moderate, slow-rising carbonation. The lacing leaves numerous densely placed beads about the glass walls, resembling a mesh pattern.

Aroma: Light cracker and biscuit malt, with spicy and lemony notes, quite pleasant.

Taste: Opens with cracker and biscuit malts, classic for the style, with spicy and lemony noble hops. As the taste progresses, the hops advance a bit, leaving the malt to play supporting role to the hops. Finishes with a lingering, mild noble hop presence.

Mouth feel: Full and pleasant, with modest carbonation.

Drinkability/notes: A solid example of a style that is challenging to brew well.

Presentation: Packaged in a twelve-ounce brown glass long neck bottle with a pry-off crown, served in a New Belgium Brewing chalice.

Wasn't immediately impressed with the look and smell of this Pilsner...but once I started drinking it improved greatly! Lot's of taste for a beer that, on the surface, doesn't appear much better than a Bud Light. Will definitely drink again if I see it on the menu

To be honest, Polestar comes out ofthe bottle not much better than a miller light, although with an much more impressive head; at it's peak, about 2 fingers deep of soapy foam. Very, very pale strw yellow and perfect clarity. Smell is an intoxicating bend of flowery hoppiness, spicy notes, and toasty cracker malt aromas. Smell is quite powerful, I can get some hints with the glass just on the table under my nose. Impressive!

Wow, that taste, true pilsner. Light, crisp, alive and very, very good. Lots of complex hops characteristics, with flower pedals, mild bitterness, faint white pepper and all on a firm base of high-quality malts of which I'm afraid I cannot name one by one. Very easy to drink, just begging to quaffed. Mouthfell is just about perfect. Smooth carbonation, with just the right amount of heft to avoid being too "lite" beer like.

Very impressive true pilsner from Left Hand. Tasty and easy to drink, what more to you want from the style??Two thumbs way up. Prost!

I've had this from tap several times. It tastes somewhere between a PA and a pils and it works really well. It's refreshing and full flavored. Try it.

Rather unique for an American Pilsner being that it is not pasteurized. It does give it a fresh flavor but its relatively iffy because its not that full flavored of a beer.

I had this poured into a Pilsner glass. The color was a straw-gold, transparent. Just the look you want from a Pilsner. I didn't get the fruit flavors that others have spoken of in here, found it a bit watery. Nose is nothing of note, mouthfeel wasn't too heavy, not a ton of carbonation. Slightly above average pils.

A. Slightly aggressive poor 1 ½ inch of head that looks to be over carbonated but hey it’s a pilsner. Color light yellow.
S. Bud Light
T. Citrus, hints of grapefruit, lime, yeast, hops tastes more like rice and malt. No bitterness whatsoever. Can not taste any alcohol. If I didn’t know any better I would say this is a non alcoholic brew.
M. Watery , crisp very refreshing.
O. I could suck down an entire pitcher after a good run to quench my thirst. Little to no buzz for 5.5%. I’m still sure this is a no alcoholic. Very refreshing for a pilsner goes down faster than water.
