Appearance: Pours a dark copper tone with a tan rocky head. Leaveing a nice layer of laceing behind. A few floaters of yeast made there way in the pour. Not alot of beading but there is some.
Smell: Quite a complex aroma consisting of celery, apple tort, some vegetable like odors, maybe a little cinnamon, lettuce and very understated hop profile. Just a bit of malty sweetness as well.
Taste: Rather muted for a DIPA. Spicey pepperish hops are noted. The malt bill is very suspect and almost not there. The hops are really not potent at all and come across as more of a leafy vegetable medley. Very weak. A bit of alcohol in the finish and thank god because this beer is almost void of character.
Mouthfeel: Lower side of medium with a medium amount of carbonation. This does leave a film in the back of your throat. The alcohol has a sort of drying effect. Not to bad on the palate.
Drinkability: This was fairly easy to drink but it was not very interesting. Not the best DIPA but not the worst either. If your the kind of person that must absolutley try every beer out there, drink this. If your a true seeker of finer beers then please look elsewhere for a DIPA.

This is my first experience with Left Hand and it was a solid one but not anything worth pursuing. This offering pours a hazy copper amber color with a short lasting slightly off white head. The nose of this ale is subtle with notes of piney hops and malty sweet. The taste follows the nose with elements of Floral and some citrus hops. This is balanced by a generous amount of malt that supplies the sweetness needed to balance this ale.
