Poured into a stout glass.
Dark black with a 1-2 finger head that disipated quickly leaving a layer of lace that sticks nicely to the glass.
Smell of chocolate and coffee with some smokey roast barley, however slightly subtle. That could be my nose tonight though. I feel a little stuffy.
Tastes more complex than the smell. Raisins, roasted barley, coffee, a little hops. Not to biter, not to strong.
Can feel the milk in the milk stout. Creamy smooth, full bodied. Some effervescence. The mouthfeel is the best part of the brew.
A drinkable stout. Not too heavy, not too bitter, creamy, and flavorful.
