After trying Left Hand Milk Stout I decided that I had to try the Nitro. This was the first stout I had tried and actually liked after having tasted some more commercially produced stouts when I was much younger.
With the hard pour recommended from Left Hand's website (the link is on the bottle) I got a 2 finger creamy head. Very thick with nice lacing while drinking. Pitch black stout.
Sweet cream, coffee and chocolate on the nose. Tastes like cream, coffee at first with a mocha as you get past the head with a slightly sweet espresso finish. Very smooth and velvety moth feel.
One of the more easily drinkable beers I have has despite it being a stout, and honestly the flavors lend itself to be a great breakfast beer when you need that little something extra.
Serving type: nitro-bottle
