The bottle poured out a dark brown body, with red hues and a one finger high light brown head. The head dissipated quickly and left a small halo of lace around the beer. The lace was slightly clingy and thick and stuck somewhat to the glass. The initial aromas were light roast, caramel, and oats. The initial flavors were roasted oats, malt, light caramel, and lightly roasted coffee. The aftertaste was lightly roasty and didn't remain for too long. The brew had a light to medium, creamy body with light carbonation.
Overall this is a pleasant beer. The flavors are not in your face and are instead nice and reserved. This makes for a nice light dark beer which won't overwhelm you.
