Poured from a 12oz bottle at 49F into a pint glass.
A - Deep brown, near black. Significant creamy tan head with good retention. A good volume of thin lacing is left behind.
S - Somewhat muted aroma of sweetness, coffee and roasted malt. Very roasted... No real milk presence in the nose as far as I could discern.
T - Caramel sweetness backed by a large dosage of chocolate and coffee. Some condensed milk sweetness and creaminess in the background that becomes more noticeable at it warms further. A success even if it is not the most complex flavor profile.
M - A bit on the thin side for a stout, but it still coats the tongue nicely and doesn't really take anything away. Despite its relative thinness it is still creamy in texture.
D - A great after dinner beer, which luckily for me is when I downed it. Call it a dessert stout for sure. It goes down very easy, and with the low ABV I could easily see picking up a sixer of this next time.
