Poured from a bottle into a shaker pint. 'Bottled on' date is stamped on the label.
A- Pours a dark brown color, with the slightest of ruddiness peaking through the edges of the glass when held up to light. Poured a 2 finger head from a hard pour, but the head didn't last very long. No rings, no lacing on glass.
S- Malt, chocolate, and coffee tones, with some cola notes too.
T- I am reminded of coffee ice cream when I drink this. There is a definite coffee/chocolate flavor. Also a touch of vanilla. Not much bitterness. Light and sweet on the finish.
M- Perhaps a little thin in the mouth, but overall very nice. I like that this beer has little carbonation. Would be improved with a little more body.
D- This is a very drinkable milk stout. Perhaps not the most complex within the style, but one I enjoyed very well. If you're put off by the dry finish of some stouts, this one may be for you. Would buy again.
