App- Poured vigorously into a guinness pint glass, the beer has cascading bubbles just like a nitro beer should, and a thick over an inch khaki colored head settles over the black liquid. Spotty lacing.
Smell- Sweet roasty flavors and a bit of coffee-like bitterness can be sensed. Very appealing aromatically.
Taste- At first the beer is very sweet, the roastedness and bitterness come through in the middle of the taste. Finishes a bit acidic/ashy.
Mouthfeel- Overall it begins creamy, but finishes fairly crisply. Feels a bit slick as well.
One other point... I brought back 2 of these from a trip to colorado... only one made it back in the bag, the other broke. I dont know if this was due to over agitation in the car ride home or not, I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.
Serving type: nitro-bottle
