Beer poured into DFH snifter. Black, but does not appear overly thick or viscous. Nice fluffy tan head.
Smell is roasted malt. Definitely some coffee. There are also very prominent notes of what I would describe as wet grain, which I don't really care for. Funky in a way that I don't like a whole lot.
Taste is nice, albeit, not really complex. Again, tons of roasted malt. Coffee flavor is pleasant. Some vanilla in there as well.
Mouthfeel is really nice and the highlight of this beer. Quite silky, if feels great going down.
Overall, pretty good stuff.
