Had from a nitro-bottle into a pint glass. From what the barkeep says, this definitely my first nitro-bottled beer and maybe my last.

What blew me away with this beer was the pour! I turned the bottle completely vertical, as if I was pouring chocolate syrup into a glass of milk. At first, it looks like one has poured a bottle of black water into a glass. No immediate head, just a few brown bubbles appearing at the top and disappearing just as quickly. After 5-7 seconds, however, you see a reverse waterfall of carmel-colored beads that forms a really thick tan head. The head stays for the duration of the beer, and lines the entire glass from top to bottom. Good stuff!

Taste and smell was pretty on par with a good milk stout. Sweet, lactose, and chocolately, with just a bit of coffee notes. I've had better and worse, but the nitro-bottle is definitely worth another try.

As its namesake, it pours a dark milky head with nice lace

Chocolate aroma

Tastes like its smells with a pretty good finish for the first two thirds, but eventually gets too sweet.

Mouthfeel is exceptional with a lightness to it.

Overall a really good dessert beer in which one is definately enough but you would still want to drink it again.

Appearance: A delicious, translucent brown with plenty of bubbles.

Smell: An earthy and roast barley aroma.

Taste: An ambiguous mix of dark, roasted malt and cream - not the mocha that the bottle suggests. Maybe a little in the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Creamy and just bubbly enough.

Overall: Very smooth, I would like a little more bold flavor.

this is a great example of a sweet stout. It touches on many of the key components for a solid stout. The color is good although i can till see through it, and the head retention is strong. I have had other sweet stouts and this one is maybe not the best but right up there.
