ROASTED MALT AND COFFEE FLAVORS BUILD THE FOUNDATION OF THIS CREAMY SWEET STOUT.

Milk sugar in your stout is like cream in your coffee. Dark and delicious, America’s great milk stout will change your perception about what a stout can be. “Preconceived notions are the blinders on the road to enlightenment.” Udderly delightful.

this is a great example of a sweet stout. It touches on many of the key components for a solid stout. The color is good although i can till see through it, and the head retention is strong. I have had other sweet stouts and this one is maybe not the best but right up there.

A: Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. On the pour it looks dark brown, but in the glass it appears black with a small light-brown head. Some minor splotches of lace.

S: Some coffee, molasses and that milk stout smell (I think that's the lactose).

T: Roasted malt and coffee beans up front, then the sweet lactose. Finishes with a charcoal-like bitterness that makes it drink like a milk porter (rather than a milk stout).

M: Medium in heft, maybe a tad lighter. Carbonation is modest, giving this one a slightly oily or slick feel to it.

O: Good stuff. Solid. Not blown away by it, but not disappointed either.
