Milk sugar in your stout is like cream in your coffee. Dark and delicious, America’s great milk stout will change your perception about what a stout can be. “Preconceived notions are the blinders on the road to enlightenment.” Udderly delightful.

A - Pours almost black with a mahogany hue around the edges. 1 finger of light brown head. Minor lacing and average retention.

S - Roasted chocolate malt, wet coffee grinds,

T - Follows the nose with moderately roasted malt, chocolate, acidic coffee, sweet cream, light prune juice, has some cocoa-like bitterness towards the finish.

M - Medium to heavy body, very smooth feel.

This is heavier on the roast than I'd like in a milk stout but it's sweet with out being sticky and has a very nice body.

I enjoyed the standard bottle of this and thought nitro would put it over the top. I wouldn't say it did just that, but it did make it slightly better.
Poured a very dark black/brown, very thick and creamy nitro head, good lacing. Better than the standard. Less coke-looking.
Scent is still very light- malt, mild coffee and chocolate.
Taste is of cocoa, coffee, malt.
Creaminess makes this one better.
Overall good but I thought it would be evern better. Not bad though. Tasty.

Dark brown to black colored beer with a super tight knit head. Smells of coffee and caramel. Taste is full, rich, sweet with notes of white chocolate and coffee. Mouthfeel is full and with pleasant after-taste. Mildly hopped with little bitterness. The nitro makes the beer feel a little heavier and creamy.

Not as good as straight from the tap, but pretty
close. Great cascade effect and overall appearance without that goofy widget.
Great creamy mouthfeel.
This is a great alternative to Guiness and I will definetly buy this beer again. The only knock I had was it was a little thin, but all in all a good beer.

Had on tap at Zeno’s brew pub and served in a snifter.

Appearance – Pours a nice deep black. When held up to the pub lights, not many rays made their way through. Upon serving there was a mild off while-brownish head. The head had some persistence leaving some lacing on the sides of the glass.

Smell – A mild chocolate aroma is the first and most potent of the aromas. There is a bit of roastiness, dark cocoa and coffee hidden within the aroma which are most present at the end of the aroma as they mix in with the milk chocolate and a bit of roasty barley aroma (just a bit).

Taste – A roasty chocolate and coffee are the first to be meet by the tongue. The milky sweetness of the lactose then comes in giving more of a milk chocolate and cappuccino flavor. The sweetness seems to amplify as the taste experience continues; maximizing near the end. Quite a pleasant transition.

Mouthfeel – A nice creaminess coats the tongue while drinking this brew. A relatively milder level of carbonation allows for it to be a very easy drinking smooth beer. Very good combo of carbonation and creaminess for the style.

Overall – A nice sweeter stout of more moderate alcohol content. It makes it a very easy drinking session brew.

Black with a half-inch off-tan head after giving it the hard pour. Smells like roasted barley and chocolate, and tastes like what I had expected from the regular Milk Stout--roasted malt, lots of milk chocolate, ends with a nice little bitterness, but on the malty/sweet side. The mouthfeel was genuinely out of this world for something I can keep in my fridge--creamy, super-smooth, awesome to drink as a dessert stout.

I'm really happy they've figured this one out--the regular Milk Stout is something I feel mildly positive about, but this brings it to another level. With the sweetness and smoothness, I think my non-stout loving friends might even like this--I'm definitely bringing my mom some the next time I go to see her.

Very bubble for a stout, other than that unremarkable look. Smells of chocolate.

Chocolate dominates the flavor, some hop and a little burnt note that is nice. However, it feels a little thin and watery.

Flavor-wise, it's an average stout with nothing much to report. However, it feels like it's been watered down. I prefer my stouts big and bold.

Average, but not for me.
