22oz bottle poured into a pint glass
A: Pours a very dark, creamy brown with a think, frothy tan colored head. Good retention.
S: Smokey goodness overwhelms the nose. Very reminiscent of smoked meats, very bacon like. Very nice roasted malts in the background, with a faint sweet, chocolatey quality.
T: Smokiness jumps to the forefront, but not as dominant as the nose. A bitterness cuts the smokey potency, but leaves a bit of an unpleasant aftertaste. Tastes a little too much like liquid bacon for my liking
M: Nice and creamy, with a medium body. Very smooth.
O: A nice solid beer, but not one I'd want to have multiple of in one sitting. The smokiness becomes a bit overbearing after a while.
