A: A black hole as far as the color of the beer goes ... mocha colored head. Some cool lacing and good head retention.
S: Smoke! A lot of it, too. Burnt toast, cacao nibs, a good undercurrent of dark chocolate.
T: The smoke flavor actually melds well with the chocolate malts. There's some vanilla, hazelnut, and a slight bourbon-like boozy aftertaste.
M: The smoke flavor really lingers after each gulp. Has a very creamy, chocolate milk mouthfeel.
O: Another great, different from the norm beer from Left Hand. Enjoyed their Pepper Porter as much as this one.
