My first Left Hand brew purchased from Total Wine & More – Goodyear, AZ

Bottle date looks like 08/06/11 – ruh oh!
12oz with pint

A: The brew appears a real light straw pale color with a bit of haze to it. Carbonation looks on point. This is a chunky monkey with visible yeasties floating about. Good white cap and some light lacing on the glass.

S: Smells of grainy English pale malts. Toasted breads and soft caramels. Some light grassy hops and fruity yeast esters.

T: Flavors are forward with bready, biscuity, English pale malts. Tastes like spent grains actually. Has a grassy fresh hay component. Light-moderate bitterness overall. Soft caramel honey sweetness and some fruity yeast character. Not bad but nothing outstandish.

M: Real light in body with a somewhat sticky texture and a bit of drying in the finish.

D: I thought this was an okay brew. Definitely light and drinkable but sort of one note for me. Would likely pass on this if I ever come across it again but nice to have tried.
At least it wasn’t a 400lb monkey terd.

A - Pours out a golden orange color. The head is white and gone in just a few seconds. Not seeing any lacing.

S - Buttery, floral, and bitter/hoppy. Getting some caramel sweetness as well.

T - A tad bitter with some fruity sweetness. Apples and grapes come to mind. Still getting sweet caramel notes somewhere through the middle.

M - Oily with medium carbonation.

O - Slightly above average drinking. Nothing to write home about but pretty good drinking.

A golden and pale yellow color. It presents more like a Pale ale than your standard IPA. 3 fingers of off white suds with exceptional lacing and stick. Hops are present in the smell, but it is overtaken by a wonderful smell of freshly baked bread. This is a nicely balanced IPA that drinks very easy. It has nice hop components and a nice clean finish. I'd definitely get this again.... A solid craft brew.

Review from notes.
This is the IPA that really hipped me to the fact that english and american variations ARE different and I find the english style to be more palatable and easy drinkin'.
Pours a golden straw color into pint glass with a thin white lacy head that dissipates quickly.
Taste/mouthfeel, crisp and clean good taste of hops without being a total choker.
Really enjoyed this from the Left Hand mixer I bought and I was very hesitant to try as I thought it was going to be a typical IPA whole cone chewer to share with the drain. Cheers to Left Hand on another solid brew, in a fairly solid stable of beers.
