Poured into a pint glass this brew was a nice yellow golden wheat color with a simple 1 finger white head. The aroma was strong of citrus. Not much more to it. The taste was nice and fresh, but not overly hoppy (which I like). There was nice lemon and orange flavors along with a faint spruce note. The brew was a little high in carbonation for being such a light body brew. This was average for the style.

Appearance: Pours a pale amber color with a modest head that leaves a nice curtain of lace behind

Smell: Caramel malt with fruity and earthy tones

Taste: Opens with the caramel, but it doesn't take long for stone fruit flavors to take over; by mid-palate, the bitterness builds; the finish has a lingering herbal, hard water tone

Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation

Overall: Glad I re-visited this with a fresher example; this is a pretty decent example of a British style IPA

A: orange/yellow shiny, finger white head,
splendid lacing

S: orange marmalade, light lemon, malt

T: mild nutty/caramel, grain/sweet malt
long slow bitter finish

M: med body, creamy/oily mouth

O: Interesting brew. Well done, LH.
The ABV is really well hidden. I want
to gulp this beer. Nice to see
an American craft make a fine English
IPA. Would get again + recommend.

VERY NICE, GIVE IT A GO!

Pours a dark, golden copper with a thin lacing of loose head. The nose is very faint. There are just very faint notes of citrus. The flavor is malty at first; bready and birthday cake-like. The hop character is mild but noticeable; a little piny and a little citrusy with really faint pineapple notes. The bitterness stays on the palate a little while. This a medium bodied beer that's a little heavily carbonated.

This is a smooth, well balanced, drinkable IPA. It's bitter but unoffensive and just complex enough to keep you interested.
