Poured into a snifter.

3.0 A: Lightly hazed dark yellow color. About one finger of frothy white head than fell quickly and left a very short ring of lacing.

3.5 S: Lots of orange citrus followed by grapefruit, grass, and a bit of earth. Bready, doughy malts with a touch of caramel. Good, but doesn't stand out in any way.

3.5 T: Like the nose. Orange, grapefruit, grass, earth from the hops. Biscuity, bready malts with light caramel. Again, it's good enough.

3.5 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Not a lot of creaminess, but enough. Decent here.

3.0 D: Good beer, but it doesn't stand out at all and that is just about a must given how many IPAs are out there.

Served in a bottle at Ethos in Orlando, FL.

A: Pours a crystal clear copper to dark amber in color. The beer has a half finger tall tan head that reduces to a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Initially I detect some sweet malts but then I get the aromas of the hops - citrus/lemon is dominant but I can also smell light amounts of floral and pine hops as well.

T: Starts off with a sweet caramel malt flavor that leads into the hop bitterness. Flavor of citrus/lemon and pine hops are present. Moderate bitterness that lingers slightly.

M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Creamy and smooth.

O: A little too strong in ABV to be a sessionable beer, it was still pretty easy to drink. I enjoyed this one and would probably order it again.

330ml bottle. ½ Pint glass. Enjoyed on may´12. Golden color, chill haze appearance. White froth, close crown. Brief retention. Remaining collar on top. Intense hoppy aromas, hints of piney & wood. Bitter upfront & gentle mildy maltiness. Light body, soft carbonation. Subtle fruitness in the middle. Oils & resins into the finish with a funny touch have made me feel green medlar astringency (curious!) Very easy drinkability. Refreshing.
