A - Hazy gold brew with a white and no lacing.

S - Red licorice, hints of spruce tips, biscuits and subtle grapefruit rind. The red licorice is intense enough to make the whole aroma a little off putting, but it isn't too bad.

T - Cardboard, red licorice, biscuits - very little hop presence really, but there is a bit of white pepper and grapefruit. The aftertaste is a slightly unpleasant medicinal bitterness, a little grain and nothing more.

M - Smooth, thin, pretty refreshing.

D - It isn't really awful. It just isn't very good. The hop flavors aren't very pronounced, and the after taste is unpleasant. I am sad I grabbed a six pack of these.

Poured from 12 oz brown bottle (bottled on 12/05/10...I think, it's blurry!) to a pint glass.

A - The bee pours a clear golden color with a nice 2 finger white head. Decent retention and nice lacing throughout.

S - A grainy malt character meets a mild earthy hop.

T - The beer starts with the grainy malt character though the palette is quickly filled with a medium bitterness, earthy hops. The middle of the beer brings out a bright sweetness which mellows and finishes with a nice bitterness on the tongue along with the grainy malt character.

M - Pretty good mouthfeel. Decent carbonation and medium bodied.

D - Pretty drinkable.

Note: This review was a re-post from my former account, jmkratt, which was hacked and I lost all my reviews...sorry for the redundancy.

Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a pint glass

A: A very pale golden color with a thin white head that leaves a little lace behind

S: A lemon hint mixed with a strong malt smell and little piney hint to it

T: Caramel, sweet malt, a little bit of hops, very dry finish

M: medium carbonation, very bitter feel

O: Not a bad beer but not my favorite. A little too dry and bitter to my liking but overall a respectable beer

Poured from a 12oz. bottle into a pint glass. No dates visible, just a blank "Bottled On:" area.

A: Golden color, yellow/orange but darker than straw color, nice clarity, 2 fingers of snow white head, good lacing and respectable retention. Very nice.

S: Well, the nose is pretty much like your standard IPA - hops with citrus and strong pine. Not much else to it.

T: Starts with a lot of pine, finishes very dry with bitter hops. It's definitely an IPA style, but not really above average for the style.

M: Light bodied, a little watery in the mouth, dry, not much else to speak of.

O: Overall, it's an IPA. An above average IPA? Eh... pretty average, but it looks nice and the piney flavor isn't overpowering like some others (take that as you will). Would I buy it again? Subjectively, no. I'm not a huge IPA guy, but there is the rare IPA that I do like, and I try to rate objectively. This is nothing special for a craft IPA.

Pours a clear, bright yellow- decent head with ok lacing.
Light hop scent, a little lemony.
Grapefruit, lemon, grassy hops, light malt.
Dry for the most part, semi-sweet for a moment. A bit of the alcohol warmth is apparent but not overwhelming.
Decent flavor and refreshing but does not stand out as being excellent.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass, blank best by date. This pours a light golden color, maybe yellow with a decent white head which leaves a lacing. The smell is of toffee and malts. The feel is medium to light. The taste is okay, a little bitterness with some sweet malts, low hop profile.
