In general, I'm not a huge fan of Pale Ales, but this one seems to be well crafted.

It pours a beautiful golden amber, with a nice white head. The retention lead to nice lacing as I drink.

The smell is primarily hoppy, with a round maltiness underneath.

The taste generally follows the nose, with a bitter hoppiness being slightly mellowed by crystalline malt behind it.

Mouthfeel is pretty standard beer-fare. Appropriately carbonated, and drinkable enough.

Like I said, I'm not a huge Pale Ale guy, but I was a little pleasantly surprised by this one. The first time I had it I had brought it to my friend's party. I poured it into a red cup, as that was the preferred mode of ingestion at said event. Someone thought it was a coors or whatever crap they had and took a drink. Reaction: went to pour it out, 'there's something wrong with the beer!'
I told them, no, that was just my beer. They offered to dump it for me. I told them it was supposed to taste like that (bitter). Hilarious.

A - Pours a golden hazy body with orange hues. Thin, white, quick receding head with good lacing.

S - Floral hop aroma up front interlaced with faint citrus. Faint malt backbone in the aroma. Overall underwhelming.

T - Mixture of fruity hops and fruit esters mixing with some mineral tasting water which is a bit unpleasant. Finishes clean with an English taste to it.

M - Medium bodied with pleasant carbonation level.

O - Pretty bland and not special in any context. Easily drinkable as it is incredibly unoffensive and at 5% it's pretty sessionable. If you are looking for super exciting and flavorful this is not your beer though.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Clear deep yellow/tan color. 3/8 inch head with a bit of lacing. Head quickly dissipated. Smelled malt with a faint amount of hops. Hoppy pale flavor came through on first taste. Nice medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall a well balanced, above average pale ale.

I got this 12oz brown bottle as part of a build your own six-pack at the Binny's store in Bloomingdale, IL. $9.99 for six, which makes it $1.67 for a single bottle. No freshness date.

The beer poured a hazy golden/orange color and made only a ½-finger of white head that disappeared in about 5 seconds. It only left a few spots of lacing on the glass. Not an impressive look.

The smell was great. Nice hoppy APA aroma with both flowery and tropical fruit smelling hops. Sugary malt aroma under the hops.

Surprisingly no fruit in the taste. Earthy and wood flavored dry hops add some moderate bitterness to a malty sweet brew. A good balance between malts and hops with a slight rye kick that adds some spiciness.

It's between light and medium in body with fairly high carbonation that keeps it crisp.

Nothing that wows me over, but nothing I'd refuse if offered again.

Appearance - Pours a very hazy copper/orange color with a small frothy head. The lacing is thin.

Smell - Yeasty bitterness is most dominant. Bready malts and a slight alcohol aroma.

Taste - Floral hops, citrus, malts, and quite bitter in the finish.

Mouthfeel - Medium body with mild carbonation. Pretty crisp.

Overall - Pale ales aren't exactly my area, but this one is pretty good compared to others I've tried.
