Like the new labels.
Pours a clear amber color with a stark white head that retains quite well and leaves nice lacing.
Nose is alot of west coast-like hops, nice resinous flavor with a dank earthy sweetness. Smells great.
Well, the taste does not follow the great nose, but it is still pretty decent. Not anywhere near as much west coastish grapefruit as the nose indicated. The hops are a little more floral, but the fresh hop dankness is in there. Nice bitterness, but a little muted by a slightly too large malt presence.
Mouthfeel is pretty much right where it should be, carbonation is fine.
Drinkability is solid, as this one is pretty well balanced and not too abrasive, just wish there was some more grapefruity goodness.
Overall a nice IPA, the nose is excellent, i really wish it tasted how it smells. Tone down the malt profile and use a little bit more grapefruit high AA hop action in this one and it could be top notch. A pleasant drinkable IPA.
