Hazed copper. Steadfast off white head yields sparse lace. Aroma comprised of pine needle and leafy, tea like hops. Heavy, but agreeable chlorophyll and lime zest notes linger. Trace light caramel. Intense aromawise. Sugared grapefruit rind incipient in flavor is ensued by a drying quinine harshness. Paltry caramel malt backbone arises mid palate, only to be sharply contrasted by stalwart, permeating pine sap and peach hop flavor. Peppery hints surface as the beer warms. Thinnish in body, and a akin to a light pale ale in that regard. Brisk. Finishes a touch watery, with the aforementioned hop flavors lingering. A very good IPA, with superb hop character but vapid malt backbone. Bitter, but not overbearing. This has become my session IPA. With more malt presence, this could be outstanding.
