Went to the butcher side. Beer selection was small, but all high quality choices.
I had the southern prohibition milk stout.
Service was excellent, all the staff work together to get your drinks and food out to you as quick a salad possible.
The food was insanely good, I’m a sucker for a great sandwich.

Located fairly close to the convention center, the place was hopping during the lunchtime on a Monday. The service was polite and efficient.

The beer list was limited, but if you’re unfamiliar with the New Orleans local brews, all eight taps offered variety and quality. If I lived here, I might feel the constraint, but all of these were new to me.

The food, however, was superb. After having many different forms of gumbo in New Orleans and elsewhere, Cochon’s duck and andouille sausage gumbo is the best. Full of flavor with a soft touch on the heat. I also ordered their side of ribs which were meaty with a slathering sweet and tangy sauce. What impressed me the most was the definitive smoke flavors. Simply excellent.

Easy to find as there is a large neon Cochon sign hanging in front of the building. Some outdoor tables here. Inside there is a tiny 6 seat bar to the left and the rest of the place is filled with tables and booths. An open kitchen is in the back. There is high ceilings and plenty of wood here. The bar stools are uncomfortable and probably the worst part of Cochon. But the food like the alligator bites provides a great look into southern cuisine done right.

There were 8 beers on draft, mostly southern locals along with an impressive Bell's Hopslam. The beers I had were fresh and seem to turn over quickly. Service got more friendly as the session went on, as it was a bit chilled at the start.

This is a must stop for any BA if you are around the warehouse district for both food and beer.

I have eaten at Cuchon a number of times now. During my most recent visit I got to sit in the new & expanded second dining room (which was sorely needed).

As you enter the hostess stand is to your left as is the short bar (I like to sit at the bar and this one could be larger). Lots of tables and booths in this room and the new two story dining room. This place is very popular with groups and I can see why.

The food is the star here. Great & inventive use of local ingredients. They build on the great foundation of NOLA cooking and the results for the most part range from good to fantastic. Try their take on gumbo, ribs, ham, superior char grilled oysters and other delights.

The beer selection is very good and the list seems well thought out. Nice mix of styles and breweries. They also have some great craft cocktails and a good wine list.

Except for the last visit, I have had superior service here. The last time our waitress was pretty disengaged and disappeared for long stretches. We needed, beer, wine & water refills and had to flag down another server twice. My score is still weighted towards the better service I have had here. If it was just based on the last visit it would be a 2.

Just a great option in a town filled with really good restaurants.

Stopped by for lunch. Place is modern and clean. Seemed to have a tourist vibe at lunch with a few business people in between. Decent selection of five taps with Abita, Bells, and some other breweries being represented. Nice selection of cans and bottles--perhaps 30 offerings with the focus being on local brews. Was pleasantly surprised with all of the variety. Food is top notch as well. Had the bbq ribs and gumbo and both were fantastic. Prices seemed reasonable for the area. Would highly recommend stopping by if in the area.

My favorite restaurant in New Orleans! The food is top shelf great. Everytime I'm in town, it's my first stop.

a Donald Link restaurant that specializes in cajun cooking and pork dishes, wood fired oven.

a medium sized place, modern design, lots of wood. tables, plus some bar seating along the open kitchen.

the draft list is short but it's all local craft beer. the bottle list is more local craft beer, some national stuff, and a few token BMC selections.

service was very good, and the food was absolutely top notch
