Nice and effervescent on the tongue. Overall, the bear is fairly light. The flavor reminds me of a hefeweizen beer, but with more carbonation and less banana / clove flavor. I do get subtle notes of the citrus and pink peppercorns, but they are VERY subtle.

This pours a light yellow-gold hazy beer with a nice thick, fluffy head. The nose is a little faint, with light fruity and yeasty-spicy notes. Very nice flavor: a light bodied, effervescent beer with moderate hoppiness (rather earthy), light pear-like fruitiness, understated phenolic pepperiness. This is a really good saison--great choice for a breakfast beer, which is how I'm having it.

Not a super fresh bottle, but not "cellared"
The beer pours a slightly dull golden yellow topped by a loose, wispy white head with no lacing or sediment. The nose is a mix of honey-like malt sweetness, some bubble gummy yeast, and a slight peppercorn spice. The taste is also slightly spicy with a clean yeast presence and grain/biscuity sweetness, but has minimal bitterness or distinct peppercorn. It's light-medium bodied, filtered, clean & drinkable, well-carbonated, with characteristic omme house yeast upfront that doesn't quite transition into the anticipated spicy, bitter peppercorn finish. This is not an ommegang highlight for me (prefer their dry-hopped variants), but isn't unpleasant.
