Beer pours a light golden color with a good 1 finger head, excellent carbonation that is perfect for the style. Head disappears quickly but good lacing is left in glass. Smell is of slight citrus with a pleasant fruitiness throughout, some subtle spice comes through. Taste is of simple spice with a subdued fruitiness that is not overdone, very little bitterness. Faint hint of malt, but definitely not the focus of the beer. Beer finishes dry and crisp. Though a high ABV beer alcohol is well hidden and only begins to appear after beer has warmed considerably.
A great beer to have on a spring summer evening as things are beginning to warm up. One of the better American interpretations of the style.
