Ommegang and Boulevard brewmasters joined forces to create this unique collaboration beer. Two batches of beer were brewed and each was fermented with our unique house yeasts. Post-fermentation the two batches were blended, allowing both distinctive yeast signatures to shine through.

Another winner from Ommegang. Pours a clear amber color with a huge white head from a 750 ml corked and caged bottle into a pint glass. Plenty of filmy lacing and excellent head retention.

Good aroma of malt, yeast fruit and some spices. Flavor is even better. A sweet malt base with some citrus and light (pears) fruit. Spicing with coriander, pepper and plenty of Belgian yeast. A little grassy hops in the finish. Mouthfeel is rich with plenty of carbonation. The spices and hoppy finish make this very interesting. A great beer!!!!

Poured into a chalice a very nice cloudy dark golden orange color, very nice carbonation, with a very nice thick/creamy/foamy two-finger off-white head, which leaves a HUGE thick/creamy island and some very nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, yeasty, with some banana, coriander, citrus, slight peppery. The taste is very nice malty, yeasty, with some banana, very nice coriander, citrusy, slight pepper note. Medium body, with a nice bitter/dry finish, not hot at all. Overall, this is an awesome brew. Recommended!

pours a cloudy, opaque orange-amber with a massive head. nose; yeasty bread & orange pulp.
taste; yeast funk again, soapy coriander, light citrus hops, clean orange pith/zest, apple, light pear & peppercorn. strong carbonation & medium mouthfeel. very earthy overall with some spice on the end. not the best of ommegang's saisons - decent.

L: Poured from a corked bomber into a tulip, pours a dark burnt orange with a fluffy white head, about two fingers worth of foam

S: Belgian funk, along with spices like coriander, and some citrus notes like orange peel

T: Malt and citrus up from, fades into some spice with a light peppery finish

F: Medium bodied

O: A great brew from two legendary breweries, wouldn't have expected anything less.

Typical Omme bomber, caged and corked

Pour is clouded darker orange infused amber, great looking head, froth, sheeting/lacing and film

Robust and spiced nose. With oranges, pepper, yeasty goodness

Flavorful and complex brew, notes of honey, oranges, Belgian yeasts, light pepper. Tasty and delicious. Two great breweries - no surprise that they created a very high quality and worthy beer

A - Pours a medium amber color with a very thick and heavy white lacing ring, lots of carbonation.

S - Earthy funk, coriander, lemon and orange peel aroma, but primarily wreaks of earthiness.

T - Generously earthy with nice lemon spice with orange peel at the very end.

M - Full medium body, gentle but sprightly carbonation, very dry finish but leaves a tart zest in the mouth that makes it water.

O - Refreshing and definitely worth a try.

This is a very good beer. I have not decided on a favorite saison yet but this one is a contender for sure. I first had this beer at a party atmosphere. I uncorked the cork and cage top like champagne and poured it slowly into 5 different 5oz plastic cups. For your own sake, do not drink this beer in a 5oz glass. I recommend a tulip personally. The first thing you notice about this beer is that it is heavily carbonated which is a good thing for a saison because a thick, syrupy saison would be gross. It would taste like rotten fruit. This beer taste like any other saison but with a more crisp refreshing feel. It taste like all the saison flavors have been magnified like IPA flavors in hopslam (see hopslam review). On first sip, you feel an immediate relief of "I didn't just waste 20 dollars." This is no question the best tasting saison I have ever had. I do warn you however, it is very fizzy, be careful pouring it or you will get just foam.
