Had this very nice summer brew at the release party at Monks in Philadelphia on 4-May-2004. Carbonation was a bit deceiving as there wasn't a great head however, it came out well in the mouth. Golden strwa in color. There wasn't to much nose at first but as it warmed in my hand it began to come out. The nose reminded me of sweet fruity type spcies. Ontasting it the first thing I noticed was a citrus (tangerine to lemon) note right up front. The brew had a crisp dry finish. I understan this brew uses some type of a belgian yeast strain and am told this is where the citrus like taste comes into play.
I like this brew alot and am intending to purchase sixtel for a summer party.

A- Very pale yellow body with a hint of haze to it. Lots of carbonation bubbles rising through the body. Huge, foamy white head.
S- Wheat, lemon, banana, bubble gum, some fresh grass.
T- Similar to the aroma. Wheat comes through along with the lemon presence, some banana and bubble gum. Some tartness on the finish.
M- Light, crisp, quenching, medium-high carbonation with that little bit of tartness that lingers behind.
O- A well crafted wheat beer that is light and refreshing.

Appearance - Pours a clear pale straw with two fingers of bubbly white head.
Smell - Orange peel, coriander, Belgian yeast, clove, wheat, fruity esters, bready malts.
Taste - Very similar to what the aromas suggest. All the flavours are fairly in balance and there's a tiny amount of tartness.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate-to-high carbonation. Dry finish.
Overall - An easy-to-drink wit with all the traditional flavours in place. Hits the mark on the style, but doesn't really do anything to set itself apart.
