Served onto 2011 Ommegang flute, they changed it this year. Bottle labeled batch#4, May 2009. Served on 12/04/2011.
Appearance: A golden amber, head is a orange tinted white which unsurprisingly creates a 1" head.
Smells: Smells like heaven, well maybe it smells more a real fine beer. You can smell the yeast, smells also of fruit
Taste: Definitely one of the easiest premium beers I have drank. But I know it's not just me, tastes "champagney". I am pairing this beer with cheese to figure it out... there's hints of fruit, yeast and something else which is hard to pinpoint. Maybe it's the of alcohol.
Mouth: Medium to heavy carbonation which I will say this the flavor is stuck with you like or love. You definitely won't hate it.
Overall: Pretty good beer but Ommegang has wowed me with other gems. Ommegeddon is very easy to drink might come off sweet but not your lady beer you know? Beer is good but hard to have a consistent crowd with it, you be the judge. Love it for what it is or hate it for what it's not.
