A: Very black with a fluffy tan head.
S: Somewhat funky but chocolaty. Fruitiness seems to be yeasty in nature, even a bit cheesy. Is that possible?
T: Belgian style yeast compliments the bitter dark chocolate character very well. Still a bit strange, but I think I like it. As it warms, the roasted barley flavors come forward. I still get a hard white cheese notes in the taste, but whatever that is works well too. A small bit of dark fruit notes in the aftertaste.
MF: Mouthfeel is more like a stout than a typical Belgian style beer. I am not sure if the spritzyness of the typical Belgian would work well anyhow.
D: Wonderful idea. The Belgian style yeast makes this much more drinkable than many a regular stout.
