Appearance is pitch black with a thick chunky tan head that recedes rather quickly leaving some awesome thick lacing.
Smell from the bottle is of over ripe citrus, but from the glass is awesome milk chocolate with a bit of roast malt and alcohol punching through.
Tatse is more dark chocolate then milk chocolate (sometimes more coffee-like), more tart than sweet, and plenty of roasted malt and boozy alcohol.
Feel is a bit thin for a stout, but then, it's a "Belgian stout" like it says on the bottle, or perhaps more acurately, a Belgian dark ale. Some light pepper, but overall it's rather smooth with a decent burn of alcohol in the throat.
Overall this is a very good beer. Easy to drink and somewhat warming for a cool winter night.
