Poured into a snifter.
A: Clear gold with two-finger, white, frothy head that lasted several minutes and left a nice film. Pretty good lacing.
S: Orange citrus and hops.
T: Moderate sweetness and light to moderate bitterness. Grass and spice. Citrus flavors. Finishes with toasted malt.
M: Medium bodied with lively carbonation. Crisp.
O: The nose was disappointing, but everything else about this beer was good.

12 oz bottle with my FW Imperial pint glass - BB 12/2013 lol
Notes taken from 05/29/2014
A: Hazed over peach colored body with an enormous billow of off-white course suds that slowly scatter down to a layer of chunky film. Large gobs of stick are left remaining to the glass. Looks quite inviting and definitely Belgian by nature with its lively head.
S: Smells of bready sourdough twists. Slightly toasted malts with some dried orange peel and dusty spices. A bit of light coriander and some more lemon zestiness. All comes together very nicely like a lemon scented biscuit/scone
T: Tangy orange marmalade with sourdough biscuit and some lightly dusty minerals. Has a little tart twang to it with a real dry finish. Lots of peppercorn and some lemon zest with some lovely pineapple flavors coming through.
This is delish really. A modest hop bitterness breaks smoothly on the palate with some earthy herbal notes. A very refreshing and well crafted Belgian Pale with some real nice balance.
M: Light moderate filling and a touch watered down. Low to moderate level of carbonation gives a decent cream action. Fairly dry with an all around clean finish.
D: Delicately balanced with some real crisp and refreshing flavors. Lots of bready malts with peppery spice and soft fruity undertones. Even at six months past it’s best date this was tasting great. I haven’t ventured too far into the Belgian Ales just yet but this one comes across as done right. Just really well constructed with some brilliant simplicity is all I can say. Will definitely be checking out more from these guys.
