A- 3.5 This is bland in color; it is a very clear light gold. It does have a nice bubbly white head on the pour but it dissipates mostly and leaves a ring on the edge. Moderately sticky lacing on the walls throughout.

S- 4.5 I'm loving the aroma of TP. It is nicely spiced (clove) and even has a reminiscence of original flavored bubble gum. Just a bit of yeast as well. Really nice.

T- 4.5 I mostly get the same blend of flavors that I got from its aroma. None stand out too much apart from the rest and this is indicative of the nice balance this brew has going for it. There's a pleasant combo of spice, sweetness, and yeast that works very well.

M- 4 TP has a good feel. It is medium in body with just a touch above average carbonation (I wish there was slightly less but it isn't overbearing). It is a little chewy, smooth, and doesn't leave me dry.

D- 4 I really enjoyed the TP and would be happy to take down the big bomber. It is a bit pricey, but hell, it was a one-time brew! I may see if I can get another before it will surely be bought up... Overall, it is tasty, well-balanced and not heavy. A good brew for sure - what I've come to expect from Ommegang.

Appearance: cloudy, pale orange body with a good sized, off-white frothy head; long lasting and good lacing; very effervescent

Smell: pale malts; citrus; belgian yeasts; coriander

Taste: very nice! Big hit of citrus right off the bat with spices and yeast; juicy malts lead quickly into a good hop bite; finishes semi-sweet with a slight bit of hops lingering

Mouthfeel: slightly creamy, but with a good amount of carbonation

Remarks: Delicious. Bought in a big bottle 3 pack with Ommegang glass for under $10 at Sam's Club. What a deal!

On tap poured into a snifter

Hazy yellow with a generous white foam cap and nice lacings.

Aroma of orange, coriander, herbs and sweet malt.

Full mouthfeel with plenty of active carbonation. Hint of alcohol

Good tripel worth repeating, two or three more times..

Solid gold in color and a bit hazy. A prodigious head forms and lasts for ages. Very nice lacing. Yeast and spice notes are dominant on the nose. Clove, coriander, and, more subtly, some dried orange peel. Nice, bright aroma with just a subtle hint of alcohol

Malty sweet flavor with just enough hop bitterness for balance. Kind of a dull finish. Fruity and malty with some candi sugar I think. Golden raisin, white grapes, and herbal hops are what I'm getting. Full in body with alcohol warmth but no solvent-like fusel notes. Very well carbonated but soft and sudsy.

This is a really good traditional tripel that does nothing wrong. Highly recommended.

look: 4.5 | smell: 4.5 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.5

Appearance: Nice golden color, fluffy white head, leaves good lacing

Smell: Sweet fruity malts, Ommegang yeast character, a little bit of spice

Taste: Again, sweet fruity malts up front with the signature Ommegang yeast character. Some spice, coriander, clove

Mouthfeel: Medium body, full champagne-like carbonation, semi-dry finish

Overall: A fantastic take on the classic Tripel style from a favorite brewer of mine. The shift up in price for Ommegang means I'm not buying as much, but I'm glad I picked up the holiday 3 pack for a price I'm used to.
