Black and cola brown mixture. Great tan head and I can't see any bubbling. Pretty good lacing too.
Light tartness to teh cocoa nib and cocoa powder aroma. Also some nicely roasted dark malts and some faintly burnt fruit aromas form the yeast. Not very predominate though.
Thin palate from start to finish. Watery chocolate nibs and powder. A little bubbly, but not enough effervescane to make up for the watery palate. Nice malt, yeast, and cocoa flavors. The whole flavor profile seems watered down and subdued for the style and from such a well known and respected brewery.

On draft at The Top Gainesville into a small snifter. Pours black with a tiny head. Aroma of sweet candy malt, belgian yeast, maybe a little roast and cherry. Mouthfeel close to a stout with low carbonation. Creamy up front that goes into a cherry flavor that takes over the palate and lasts a bit. Sort of a cherry cordial but not overly sweet. Touch of bitterness keeps things in check. Nicely balanced.
