This brew pours a beautiful full head thats mouthwatering to look at. The aroma is subtle but interesting. The taste is decent, not the best brew I have had by any means but very much drinkable. The mouthfeel is crisp, this beer for what it is is worth a look. Ommegang makes some awesome brews but in the end I bought this for the bottle.

Bottom Line: cool bottle...average beer.

A - pale golden opaque beer, large white head disappeared quickly
S - heavy banana notes, not all that great a smell for an ommegang beer
T - super banana flavor, very heavy
M - probably the best part, very easily drinkable for the less then ideal taste
O - good try, but just like game of thrones looks prettier than it is

A: pours a ear golden yellow with three fingers of white head that fades into a thin cap with good lacing.

S: Belgian spices with candy sugar and sweet breads and a medicinal aroma.

T: similar to the aroma, spices, candy sugar, and bitter, hearty yeast and bread. The finish is lightly bitter with a slight medicinal taste.

M: medium-light body with medium body, this beer is light and drinkable.

O: an alright beer overall, but a bit simplistic and medicinal. It's a shame that the beer associated with such a great show is so mediocre.

750ml. bottle poured into a Flying Dog goblet

A: Golden yellow, quite blonde. Completely translucent with a decent head that diminished rapidly.

S: Slightly citrusy with your standard beer scents right in there. You can really smell the grains of paradise and lemon peel here. Nothing complex here.

T: A bit of citrus but really no complexity here to me. It is your standard belgian pale ale. You can taste both the belgian part and the pale ale part.

M: Quite a bit of carbonation there but not surprising considering it was corked and caged, which made quite a nice pop sound when opened. Crisp throughout.

O: Eh. I am not a big fan of regular pale ales (or Belgian ones either, but they are a bit better) but I had to get it because of the Game of Thrones tie in. Either going to turn it into some bread or give it to a friend.
