12 oz bottle. best by 03/2014.

A: a hazed straw blond body. head is massive. I mean absolutely ridiculous. couldn't even get half of the brew into my glass. great retention (if I can ever get through it) and cloud-like lacing.

S: a mild, barnyness. almost brett-like. certainly a herbal hop aroma as well. smells german, at first, now I am getting some of that Bravo. some sweet malts too.

T: for as dry as this smells, there are a decent amount of unfermented sweetness in here. however that herbal bitterness comes back to keep things balanced. finish is sweet with a bit of sweet grain and a mild fruitiness.

M: moderate amount of carb, almost vivacious. medium body.

D: one of the most enjoyable beers (besides their main lineup) that I have had from ommegang in a while. very balanced, refreshing, just a well made beer that fits the BPA style nicely. doesn't even drink close to its abv.

An amazing beer. It pours a light golden with a small quickly fading head. It smells of hops with balanced malt and notes of lemon and herb like back ground. The taste is beautifully balanced with excellent malt leading into clean hops. A perfect transition. The mouthfeel is similar to champagne with a very light body and complex small bubbles that would be perfect with shellfish or other light preparations of seafood.

Awesome looking giant finely foamy white head, a mile high and once it subsides to reasonable, plenty of patchy lace. Color is glowey straw gold. Aroma is delicate floral, lightly sweet, softly yeasty pale malt and grain. A smidgen of lemon and some even spice. Very nice. Taste is nicely malty with a fresh array of Belgian yeast flavors and brisk light hops. Floral, zesty, and softly dry through the finish.

A very nice beer. It has Springtime written all over.

Ommegang Fleur de Houblon has a thin, spongy, off-white head, a murky, yellow-orange, extremely bubbly appearance, and some lacing left behind on the glass. The aroma is very sweet, full, yeasty, and citrusy. The taste has the lemon or cumquats, white bread, pronounced hop bitterness, light fruit, yeast, candi sugar, and grain husk. Mouthfeel is heading up towards medium and is carbonated to the hilt, and Ommegang Fleur de Houblon finishes mostly dry, pretty easy drinking, and rich. Overall, another hit from Ommegang. Get some!

Appearance: Clear, gold color with a huge white head that fades slowly with chunky lacing.

Aroma: Grassy, spicy yeast, herbal hop notes, a touch bready and faint banana.

Taste: A quick flash of toasted malt up front quickly followed by an appreciable amount of earthy hop bitterness with funky Belgian yeast riding on top. Bitterness that is a bit tangy lingers on into the finish.

The Rest: Another solid beer from Ommegang. A nice, funky change-up from the typical summer ale

Appearance: A beautiful, pale golden color with noticeable carbonation and foamy head.

Smell: Very balanced floral hops and yeast aromas, with a hint of citurs.

Taste: Spicy yeast taste followed by floral hops aroma that lingers through the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Smooth and light but not too watery, with a refreshing bite of carbonation.

Overall: A very refreshing, yet complex summer ale. The balance of spicy yeast and hops aromas is well crafted. One of the better summer ales I've tasted.
