Pours a hazy golden apricot with a huge frothy ivory head that dissipates in big bubbles, leaving spotty lacing.

Notes of peach, pear, bandaid, bubblegum, floral hops, clove, and white pepper form the initial aroma. Wet hay, coriander, and yeast add complexity.

Flavor reveals a dominant bubblegum and bandaid character throughout, finishing fairly dry, earthy, and a touch bitter. Grapefruit underpinnings become evident. Peaches, green apples, lemon, and white pepper accompany a lightly bready malt backbone that is easily dominated by yeast flavoring and esters.

Body is moderate and slightly creamy, with fairly high carbonation and slight alcohol warmth.

I'm not a fan of the phenol, so this is a tough one for me. I like the other flavors and aromas, but would much prefer it without the bubblegum and bandaid characters. Fairly complex beer, with enough bittering to counter the esters, but not overwhelm.

Appearance - hazy dark golden liquid with voluminous white head

Smell - Lemon, Lime, yeast, very tropical

Taste - Much like the smell, lemons, limes, clove, ginger, coriander

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied, high, bubbly carbonation, starts out a bit sweet, then moves to tart and sour towards the finish, dry finish as well

Overall - This was a really good beverage, really tasty yet refreshing; one that I would be happy to re-visit. I hope Ommegang comes back out with this one next summer.

Price Point - $10.50/ 4pk 12 oz bottles

From the 355 ml. bottle dated Best By 10/20/14. Sampled on July 26, 2013.

It pours golden yellow and murky that erupts into a huge puffy white head that takes forever to dissipate but it does eventually.

Oh that nose! Belgian yeasts, Belgian malts, toasted biscuit, spice, and earthy hop all come together to make this incredibly inviting.

The body is light and it is smooth and creamy to boot.

The flavor is much like the nose but there is a bit more of a citrus bite and a slightly lingering peppery finish. This has jumped top the of my summer ale list.

Poured into a pint glass from the bar tap.

Appearance: golden color with cloudy haze and very little foam. Can't wait to let it pass my lips!

Smell: light, sweet, fresh, and summery; almost citrusy.

Taste: very smooth and easy to let this ale lay on your taste buds for awhile!

Mouthfeel: clean and smooth, not invasive; has a clean and dry finish. VERY good!

Overall: the perfect summer ale! Not heavy and filling, but very good flavor and smoothness.

Serving type: on-tap

Poured from 12oz bottle into a tulip.

Appearance: silvery-gold hue with a moderately thick haze and two fingers of creamy white foam. Looks like a good witbier; I like it a lot.

Smell: sweet malt with a little bit of farmhouse funk melds with fresh, grassy hops with perhaps a touch of earthy character. Quite enticing and, indeed, summery.

Taste: nice malt flavor with that little funk and a tiny hint of tartness which just adds to the refreshing character of the grassy hops. Bitterness is strong enough to hold its own, but is quite smooth. Very nice indeed.

Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a giant carbonation and huge carbonation. A little bit evanescent, but quite satisfying nonetheless.

Overall: I should stock up on six packs of this stuff. It is hugely quaffable despite its ABV and it just suits my palate very well.
