Wonderful tour -- our guide was friendly, and the tour was exactly as long as it should be. Surprising how small their actual facilities are, but quality over quantity!

Food at their café was excellent, and reasonably priced; paid about $8.50 for an amazing sandwich that went perfectly with their Abbey Ale. To get a flight of three different brews (each 5oz) costs $7.50.

The tasting was lovely, too -- costs $3, and you get a nice souvenir glass from it. You get to try 6 different Ommegang brews, and the staff gives you histories and all sorts of other interesting info. My only complaint about the whole experience was that the tasting was a little bit crowded, which made it hard to get to the palate-cleansers and get fills. The later tastings that I saw were much less crowded, though.

Would recommend going to Brewery Ommegang to absolutely anyone, regardless of their enthusiasm level about beer or brewing.

Maybe my honeymoon period with craft is over, and I'm becoming overly bitter, but when it comes to expectations vs reality, Ommegang may be the most disappointing brewery that I've ever visited.

The Duvel ownership was shoved down your throat the second you sat down at the bar. Half of the draft menu was Liefmans or Duvel, with two Boulevard beers. Only 4 actual Ommegang brews at the time of my visit, and none that were anything note-worthy. They were out of Three Philosophers, and I can't even begin to comprehend that.

The bartender had no interest in giving us any sort of service because it took him almost 10 minutes to acknowledge us. I ordered a flight, which took another 5 minutes to receive when my girlfriend and I were his only customers. As he set the flight down, my girlfriend started to say "and I'll have a..." as he walked away and completely ignored her. It took yet another 5 minutes for us to flag him down to get her a Rosetta. So 20 minutes to even get our beers when there were only 7 total people at the bar and 3 bartenders all standing around bullshitting, eating food, and drinking beer (can't totally fault them for the last one. I miss being a bartender). Halfway through the night he vanished only for us to notice that he was standing at the end of the bar talking to two women and completely ignoring us.

The food was heart-breaking. All of it sounded phenomenal, but nothing was that great. It was solid ideas and ingredients, but sloppy execution. Vanilla peppercorn gravy (on the chicken and waffles) has been delicious every time that I had it, except for here, where is was like greasy vanilla ice cream. It was all cold, poorly cooked, and disappointing.

I recognize my score is FAR below average, and almost everyone else has had great experiences here. I'll try not to let this one bad bartender sully my image of the brewery, but he was terrible. Just the worst.

Not taking points off for this, but it's a major annoyance: there is no cell signal here. At all. Verizon, AT&T, or Sprint/T-Mobile (I have Google Fi). This wouldn't be a huge deal, but their WiFi can only support about 10 people/devices before you can't receive an IP. Lame.

I visited Ommegang when I was in Rochester for a friend's wedding, we made the trek over to Cooperstown and did the brewery/baseball HOF two-fer. When you're driving up to the main building, you feel like you're in the Belgian countryside approaching the unique main farmhouse. It was a hot summer day and we got shaded seats on the back patio area which overlooks a beautiful green field and the rest of the Ommegang estate.

I stopped briefly inside to make a trip to the gift shop, so I didn't really get to experience the main bar area. I'd love to get back here and do the sampling activity they have set-up. Got to love Cooperstown!

Beautiful building and location (it even feels like Belgium). The retail Store and Cafe is in a separate building, but tours are available every hour. They have a good selection of bottles and glassware, but only one cashier for the 25 patrons. The Cafe was filled to the brim and while there appeared to be a tasting area, it was not accessible at the time. The Cafe lunch menu looked excellent but with a 1.5 hour wait we weren't able to taste anything. If this is what it is like on a weekday in December, I can't imagine what it is like in the height of the summer. We managed to obtain a few bottles of their beer for carry out and left without tasting anything. Too bad because it has so much potential to be a fun place. They need to think about crowd control, perhaps provide access to tasting separately from the Cafe.

Have gone here on a few occasions for lunch and for a concert. Both experiences were great. A lot of offerings on tap and a nice patio to sit and enjoy a beer in the summer. Reasonable bottle prices in their shop and incredible cheese spread for sale! their horseradish cheese spread is out of this world.

We had a great afternoon here. The brewery is in a very unique old barn-like building. The tour was nice and the tasting was great. The lunch menu is unique and delicious just like the beer. The staff is very knowledgeable and they obviously enjoy their jobs.

Ommegang, these guys are seriously great. The attitude and style of not only the beers they produce, but the architecture of the brewery, the layout of the bar, and of course the cafe, are comforting, inviting, classic beer culture. The staff are excited to share the beer lore with visitors and they have a lot to say about the flights, which is nice. The food leans towards what you would find in Belgium and is excellent, the staff can help you pair up their beers with the food. Come and hang out, have a flight, learn about their beer, have a gourmet meal, its all good here.

There's not enough that can be said about how good Ommegang is. Their beers are legendary, but the brewery itself is gorgeous, right in the middle of upstate New York, and their grounds are just lovely no matter what time of year you visit. Their menu is splendid as well and their selection in their gift shop is stellar. Go here!

Went here last winter. Overall the vibe is excellent. The brewery sits on an old farm. Tour was standard, but our guides were very knowledgeable. Tasting proved excellent, with many different varieties on tap. Good variety for sale as well. The bar/restaurant is also very clean and new. Food was good for a brew-pub.

Went for a summer concert, cool experience. Great idea offering camping at the brewery.
Reasonable prices as far as food and drinks.
