Vibe? Its a grocery store type of place to buy beer to go.

Always the place to stop and visit for brews to go in Fort Collins. Service has always been good. Prices seem fair, and the selection is top notch.
Check it out, you won't go home empty handed. (254 characters)

Great selection of bombers, good number of breweries, both local and national. We make trips to Ft Collins just for beer runs, and this is usually where we go. (160 characters)

Not recommended - very poor service. Their selection and size is great - but their cashiers are extremely UN-informed, rude and ridiculous to be honest.

While purchasing wine, I was asked for both my ID and my wife's ID. My wife at no point held, handled or carried the alcohol. The cashier said she would not sell to me (the person with ID and whom was paying) because my wife didn't have her ID with her. We then asked if we could JUST purchase the pint glasses we also wanted (no alcohol) - we were refused then as well.

Yes there's a college campus very close - yes people try to buy alcohol that are not of age - but if you verify the ID of the person purchasing the alcohol why does anything else matter?

To note - we're both 30+ years of age and frequent the shopping center where this store is located. We'll never go back again. Completely ridiculous... (866 characters)

As many have pointed out the selection is by far one of the best in town and it rotates it stock constantly. I have seen write ups on various foreign and local beers and thought I'd like to try them, damn if I don't find them at Wilbur's! Yep bring your credit card cause your going to need it. I have requested various non local beers in keg form - I'm not too crazy on the request ie. various Roque or Alaskan, and local in 6ths or 1/4s and they get them for me. I've noticed a lot of reviews stating the staff isn't that great and it's anything but, yes they don't bother you - browse to your hearts content but if you have a question and ask, they are right there with the answer, or recommendations. I'm not a wine guy - I enjoy it but don't take the time to educate myself, so I rely on recommendations and the Wilbur's staff have never led me wrong. I would give them 5.0 rating but I drop a lot of coin there and they have a rewards program- spend a grand and you get 10 bucks and a 10% off purchase coupon. A bit weak but on the flip side - I have gone in for various cases of wine or beer that was on sale a few days prior but the sale ended and they had no problem giving me the sale price so kudos on that! (1,230 characters)

A bit like walking into Wal-Mart without all the retarded patrons. Nobody offered to assist me even though several employees walked by me a number of times. It was close to closing time and I'm sure that's what they were concerned with. Not a deal-breaker. The selection in this goliath is very extensive although the majority of it is not necessarily hard to find. I didn't count the coolers, but they got bookoo. Lots of shelved large bottles - some pretty hard to come by most of which had a 1 per customer notice on the shelf. They have a mix-a-six which probably looks good to an out-of-stater, but I'll bet it's pretty lame to the locals. I spent over $100 in like 10 mins. Prices are pretty standard for the area. The girl at the register commented on my picks and I could tell she knew quite a bit about beer. I told her it was all headed for Oklahoma and she found me an extra heavy duty tall wine box. I didn't have time to check out the rest of the store, unfortunately. Check out this monster if you get the chance. (1,027 characters)

What more can be said of Wilbur's? This is the first place I was able to get a beer from pretty much any brewery you name. Apparently their beer cooler is larger than most, if not all liquor stores (total store) in the state! Then they have their room temp beers that is an entirely different level. The wine, and spirits selection are second to none. Great knowledgeable staff too (381 characters)

The big liquor store in Fort Collins. Big, clean, well organized. A nice selection of sixers and bombers, being the popular place their stuff can sell out rather quickly, but if it hits the market they always get it. I kind of want to take off more points because their mixed sixer selectionis very, very disapointing for what a place of their size could offer.. Service is nothing special. Cashiers are generally the only one's available/willing to help and it being a bigger store, they are only the middle men, they need to call the beer department for information. If the beer guy(s) isn't there, which is too often, than they don't have the info to help you other than letting you know if the beer is in stock or not. I guess that's what comes with a bigger store like Wilburs, but I do prefer the smaller stores where employees are more involved with everything, so they have a better understanding of the comings and goings. Price point here is fine, things at the going rate. On occassion, you can get some decent sales going on which offer some really nice prices. (1,073 characters)

Wilbur's used to be my go to bottle shop when I lived in Fort Collins. Its honestly one of the reasons I got into better beer and into using the online beer sites. I would walk up the Beer row and just look at the packages not knowing what any of the beers or styles were. It allowed me to try a lot of beer I had never seen before.

Went back and was surprised that they had made the beer selection smaller then it was before. Cut out the middle section of the isle. Regardless of this, they still have a out of this world selection. Chances are if its available in the area, they probably have it, or had it and it already sold out. Their selection really is crazy. All of their six packs and several of their bombers/750's are kept in the coolers. They have a smaller selection of large format bottles sitting out. I picked up several bottles from Funkwerks/Crooked Stave, Deschutes, Russian River, The Bruery and others I cant remember. A ton of other stuff that I would have like to brought home but didn't have the cash to. The service is always non existent. Its more of a you know what your looking at kind of store. Every once in a while you can track someone down and they are normally more then happy to help you out. The price is very reasonable for the area. (1,271 characters)

Stopped in after shopping next door at Whole Foods. Seemed well organized and similar to most big liquor marts in the Denver / Boulder area. Beers are located to the right, while tons of wines and liquors filled the remainder of the store.

Liked the vast selection between reach-in coolers and stocked shelves of good beers. Most of my favorite CO brews were represented.

Good selection of Utah breweries we don't see in Denver

Some good Belgian and German brews too. Prices were reasonable. Parking was easy. Will visit again next time I'm up. (547 characters)

Best selection I've found. Poor east coast micro representation, but they nearly make up for it with their intermountain selection. Mix six selection has become very limited. That's ok, though, as they have such a large inventory to choose from. I've been in there five or six times over the past four weeks and their inventory has proven to experience a pretty high turnover rate. So, it's always a pleasure getting to stop by and take a look at what new stuff has just made its way to their shelves. Staff is pretty knowledgeable and super super friendly. It must be a great place to work because they're always so damn kind. Prices are very reasonable. (655 characters)

Stopped here on my way to Montana.

Wilbur's is a huge store, with tons of wine available. I stuck to the beer section since I was passing through. There is a large selection of beer here. Plenty of offerings from domestic and international craft breweries. Large selection of european (German, Belgian, British) breweries. Major representation for Colorado and regional locals. Lots of great brews from Ft. Collins local breweries (Funkwerks, New Belgium, Odell etc.). The staff was very helpful. Didn't need much help with selections however. The prices seemed to be in line with most of what I'd seen on my way out west. Very good store. (640 characters)

A huge store with a huge selection of quality micro and craft brews. I found what I was looking for with the help of a friendly worker and more. Very knowledgable staff. I was looking for Firestone Walker's Parabola. I was told it would be there from the night before when I attended the Firestone Walker party downtown. It was there. I also asked for Pliny the Elder on a whim and low and behold they had it as well. They had a two bottle limit and that is what I got. I bought those two and a bottle of New Belgium's Le Folie. Quite a score. There was much, much more I just didn't have the money for. At the checkout I got into a long conversation about local beer, and hard to find stuff and where I could find it. Awesome store. Huge store, well lit, cool, and with knowledeable and friendly workers. Highly recommend. (823 characters)

Stopped by this place on a recent trip to Fort Collins. It's basically a large liquor store with a very large selection of craft beer, probably the best selection of any store I visited on my trip to CO.

Upon entering, all of the beer s straight ahead with a ton of coolers on the right and an aisle of room temp. bottles and packs. The selection is very good with a great selection of CO locals from Fort Collins, Odell, Funkwerks, Equinox and New Belgium. They also had a ton of Great Divide, Breckenridge, Ska, etc. In addition to the locals they carried a very impressive selection of other regional crafts, including selections from the Bruery, Uinta, etc and a very nice selection of European beers, many of which aren't distributed to PA.

The service was pretty good. The one beer guy was friendly and helpful. Knowledgeable and willing to check t see if they had any of the Odell 750 series n the back(they didn't). The woman at the counter was completely miserable which kind of sucked but that was my only complaint.

Overall, I was impressed with this place and would shop here frequently if I lived in the area. Impressive selection as well as some nice glassware and people who know abut beer. (1,210 characters)

Spent far too much. Great selection. Had some obvious lacks but had things I've never seen before like jw less moonraker, which I was happy as tell to grab. Also got Fullers vintage ale which I hadn't seen before but don't really look for.
Had some IPAs which were expired. Thought that was funny since their beer guy seemed to know his beer.
One of the better places I've been to in CO.
The service was good. Had a few beers I wanted to ask about like Epic's Imperial Stout which he had tried and a new release from Grimm's which I ended up not getting.
Surprised about their lack of selection from Odell and Avery. They also had nothing from Russian River but had quite a few from bruery.
I bought there last three ghost face killah. oops (740 characters)

stumbled across Wilbur's while stocking up on groceries at the adjacent Whole Foods before heading into the Wyoming desert

it's got the layout of your typical chain style liquor/wine/beer store, clean, linoleum floors, fluorescent lighting, quite a big place, arranged into rows with most of the beer in wall coolers along the right side of the store, though there was some big bottle format and european stuff in warm storage nearby

selection was quality, most of the Colorado locals were represented, save for some of the more obscure items, lots of Odell and and New Belgium of course, loads of other stuff that sees nationwide distribution, was happy to see the Boulevard big beers in small, single bottles, the singles selection was okay, fairly wide but lacking the more desirable stuff

over two visits I was never approached, despite staff being present, cashiers were nice at least

there was also a small but nice selection of glassware available (958 characters)

This place was fairly well organized and laid out in a consumer friendly-manner

The quality of all beers tried were good to great

The one staff member I had contact with was friendly & wildly enthusiastic about craft beer

Selection was even better than Liqourmax. I wish I had better prepared myself I left a few Russian River & lost abbey brews behind, because I THOUGHT I had already tried them, ugh. Could spent hundreds in here, but was flying out the next day. There was a big selection of hometown brews to try. Loved the wide range of beers on offer, this compared favourably to any beer store I've been in Colorado

Prices seemed reasonable (651 characters)

Made my big shopping trip at Liquormax but stopped here to look for a few things. They didn't have exactly what I was looking for but I was very impressed with what I found.
Much larger dry storage section than Liquormax which was a plus. Huge selection of Mikkleller, Fantome and Boulevard that I didn't see other places plus the same CO brews and a few different bombers than other places, again very good selection and quality.
Service was lacking. Didn't see anyone walking around helping people out and I looked because I wanted to ask about specific beers and at checkout the girl didn't even bag my stuff for me, in addition to taking forever to count my change. Prices were good but I probably should have borrowed a Wilbur's card to help out.
Overall, I was pretty happy but I can't get over the service, or lack there of. (832 characters)

Wilbur's is likely the biggest liquor store in town and it's also one of the busiest. They have a great spirits and wines selection as well so expect alot of traffic when you go. Besides the clutter of patrons their beer selection is superb and bottle prices are among the cheapest in town. You usually can find what you are looking for particularly on imports. My two gripes are that sometimes they fail to restock on some of the more popular sixers and cases so they are unreachable in the cooler section and that it's difficult to find rare domestics due to the amount of beer savyy patrons. Be sure to check out their glassware too, the prices are so much lower than you can find at the breweries. (701 characters)

Q. I did not see any out of date product, but some items did have a solid layer of dust on them. I didn't notice anything being stored in direct sunlight or anything else along those lines.

S. We were there early in the day, and spent almost an hour there. We were asked right away if we needed any help, and then left alone to shop on our own.

S. While the selection didn't seem as large as I thought it would be, they did have a few items I didn't see at other stores in Colorado. The beer they had was well displayed in the cooler as well as on a warm shelf.

I did notice that the prices on several beers were slightly higher than at the other stores around. (664 characters)

This place is heaven. A beer wall that goes on and on, the folks working there can help you find something, give recommendations or just talk beer for a while. I have been able to find 99.9% of the beers I'm looking for here; World Wide Stout, Old Crustacean, Thomas Hardy's, massive imported selection...these guys got EVERYTHING! If you're in/going to Fort Collins, check Wilbur's out and buy a few bottles you can't find any where else!

*If you can't it it at Wilbur's, head down south fifteen minutes in Loveland and check out Liquor Warehouse on 34. Together, there is nary a beer you won't be able to buy! Prost! (619 characters)

Stopped in on my tour of Colorado. Impressive selection of Colorado and West Coast beers for those from out of town. I had to scale myself back (2 bottles of Odell WoodCut #2, were not cut though). In addition to CO breweries rare releases, they had a nice Lost Abbey, Pizza Port, Deschutes, and Russian River selection, a big plus for us Southeasterners. It is a big Wal Martish liquor store, so expect to seek out help, but nice enough when asked. I commend them for the bottle limits on purchases, as it allows others to pick up bottles when in town. Great stop, and very convenient in town. (594 characters)

A friendly atmosphere to shop through the biggest beer selection in town. The staff was friendly but no one offers to help with your selection and I doubt they would be able to help with a good beer selection if they did offer to help. The selection was really good though with a huge choice of beers that cannot be found in any other liquor store in town. I also like that they give a 10% military discount and put on my member card so I don't have to show my mil I'd everytime. I have tried several other stores in town but none have provided what they have. (560 characters)

This is my usual liquor store. I'm very familiar with everything in this store I've been there so much. Very amazing selection of micros- both in bottles, and in sixers. Everything I've wanted that does in fact get distributed here can be found at this one store. The belgian and foreign selection in general is probably more limited compared to Liquor Max, however. This store also has the most reasonable prices in the area- typically a few dollars cheaper per pack/bottle than other area stores. I've run into a few employees who really knew their beer, and a few that were working hard to learn it. I imagine the service would be great for someone less knowledgable than myself. My only gripe is that they seem to run out of the rarer beers quicker than other stores- maybe because of the volume of customers, or maybe because they don't order enough of them at a time. (873 characters)

This is my favorite place to explore for new and exciting beers. They have an excellent selection and a staff that really knows their stuff. I once had a gentleman walk me through the Belgians and explain which ones he recommended and why. He had tried most of them as the employees are encouraged to do.

The place is very clean and well organized. It's never too busy and I've never found anything that's expired or past-prime. It really is a destination liqour store. We just happen to be lucky enough to have it nearby. (523 characters)

We were trying to find Liquor Max but were having some trouble so we just stopped at Wilbur's instead.

Small caveat: I was not looking for anything imported (I can get all of that in GA). I was solely seeking CO micros.

This place had an amazing selection of NB stuff but they sure as hell better. I also got some Ft Collins beers and other nice selections (Stone, etc.) but decided to wait on my bulk purchase until later in the trip.

I didn't really see anyone around to ask questions until I walked up to the counter but that was fine by me. I was disappointed to hear they were entirely out of La Folie but I scored one later in Boulder at Liquor Mart. (659 characters)
