Dropped in on this place shortly after their recent renovation. Decently-sized Binny's, with the beer all the way to the left of the store. Thanks to the renovation, there's plenty of space for said beer, many of which we can't get out here in Lake County (or other places in northern Cook, for that matter). They even carry some of the barrel-aged Crispin ciders, ferchrissakes. Good selection of imports, focusing mainly on Eastern Europe. The beer guy is a nice guy who knows his beer pretty well and is pretty helpful in making a decision. Prices seem about right for the area, and nothing's out of whack. Overall, a very nice Binny's, probably the best place around to grab a bottle of what you're looking for.

This is my liquar store there is not other store by me that has this craft selection. I wish I knew others. It would be nice to have somthing other then this place. However, it is not a knock, since redoing, it is a very nice place. Their beer selection befoer the tearing up has been awesome. The one thing I dont' like I wish they had more 750ml bottles that I would like to get. They have junk crafts up there. There six packs has everything you need and more. Overall, until I find somewhere else, I love this place.

This is right by my girlfriend's house, so I frequent it pretty often. Layout is identical to all Binny's - walk in and turn left. The staff is friendly and non-abrasive. They ask you if you need help and then they leave you alone to do your shopping.
Selection-wise, this Binny's is a little better. They have a better selection of sixers than most others and they're bomber selection isn't bad, but there are a few absences (FFF bombers, for one). However, the club deals they give out are awesome. For exmple, on three separate occasions I have made the following purchases:
1. Sixer of Great Divide Hibernation for $7.99
2. Sixer of Two Brothers' Northwind for $7.99
3. Sixer of Sierra Nevada Bigfoot for $8.99
Overall, its one of the better Binny's. Good selection, good deals, good people running it. Check it out if you live in Chicagoland.

Huge place, as you walk in there is stacks of Hopslam (seasonal) though it was expensive.
It has a huge selection, one of the best Binny's, though the Belgian selection was a bit weaker than most. They had a bunch of eastern euro stuff, a big selection of English stuff compared to most Binny's, and a solid 20 ft aisle of american craft.
Another thing at this place is they had pretty much every minikeg that you can get in chicago if you are into that.
It was a bit pricey and I didn't notice the beer guy, but overall a nice, big binnys loacation.

While visiting relatives in the greater Chicago area I "stumbled across" a Binny's Beverage Depot that I have read so much about here on BA. This Binny's is located on North Milwaukee [Niles, IL] and is one of 21 in the Metro Chicago area.
Binny's is a large store that sells; wine, liquor, cigars and of course beer. The store has a very large selection of wine, and liquor, however, their beer offerings are impressive as well. The beer selection is divided into isles of American Craft beer, German, Belgian, English, Mexican, as well as macros from America and Europe. A good selection of beer is also sold cold. Binny's offers too many brands to list so I will sum up their offerings by saying...if it is available in Illinois they most likely will sell it. Binny's offers a free Club Membership that makes you eligible for discounts, rebates and special sales making their pricing very competitive.
Based on the previous reviews from other BA's it is apparent that service has been their weak point. It took approximately 10-15 minutes for someone to ask me if I need assistance, a little longer than I would have liked, however at least they asked.
Being from out-of-town I am not too familiar with the other stores in the area. However, of the stores in the area I have visited Binny's offers by far the best selection. If it is selection you are seeking Binny's is the place.

This is a pretty standard Binny's vs. other Chicagoland locations. To their credit, the selection is good, and fairly well cared for.
Good representation of Germans and Belgians, with a couple Fantome offerings. Some cheap euro imports on sale found toward the front. 3F seasonal bombers, plus a few other US craft bombers toward the back left corner of the store. Lots of New Holland and Lagunitas, eh. Late 2007 visit, Belgian shelves were pretty dusty.
Service was lousy, there were about ten employees hanging out by the registers talking, and no one even close to the beer dept. Checkout was apathetic, I had to ask for double bags for the 10-12 singles i was carrying out. On my last visit, checkout was ok, so service varies. Hands-off approach fully in effect.
If you are in the area, it's worth a stop, but if you are Chicago bound, don't bother.
addendum: For the intrepid seeker of vintage/aged beer, check out Quality Liquors (7639 N Milwaukee Ave) down the road...one "shelf of oddities" had some interesting contents. Namely singles of Aass Bock, Artevelde, Brigand, FFF Xtra Pale & Burnham Pils, Spotted Cow, & St. Bernadus. Also some random Belgian glassware. The beers are ancient...you may have to haggle for a fair price on these... (2011 RIP)

A huge liquor store located south of Golf Mill on Milwaukee Avenue in Niles Illinois. Very clean, well lit, with a huge selection of wine and liquors. This place also has a huge selection of beers, not the level of Sam's but close enough. Large coolers in the rear. Huge selection of Belgians, huge selection of Midwest micros (although they are a little light of Three Floyds) Nice selection of imports, very well organized by region and displayed. Lots of inexpensive imports are available as well. Easily the best store in the area.
Upon my latest visit, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that they now feature Beer Advocate shelf cards! Great idea, and a good place for a large assortment of beer.
