A: dark gold to amber to almost a pink in some light. Cloudy, but without any head after it subsides within about a minute.

S: I get the light sour milk tartness, along with some plum and tart grape, but nothing is too strong. It's a decent nose, and I might have underrated it because ot feels a bit subdued.

T/M: wine grape sweetness (yes, in that it's not really sweet). This is backed quickly by a lemon-tartness. The combination reminds me of an unsweet tea to which too much lemon has been added. I get what I consider akin to a tanic red wine feel, as well. I think that, despite a lack of carbonation, the depth of the tastes add to the overall feel.

O: I think this is very enjoyable for the style. It doesn't try to squash the sour, which is nice, but it doesn't let it go wild either. Maybe I am trying to say it's a well-balanced wild ale.

Cloudy red amber pour with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Very sour and tart aroma. Intensely sour and tart taste upfront of dark fruits/cherries. Medium bodied with lots of carbonation. Can taste the oak as the beer warms. Finishes very tart and juicy.
